@s333cats - Only a broken heart can hold the world London-based Taiwanese artist Susan Style delivers a deeply immersive debut with Only a Broken Heart Can Hold the World, released on March 27, 2026. This is not just an album—it’s a transformative journey shaped by distance, identity, and emotional reconstruction. Written and produced entirely by Susan herself, the record traces her 9,000-mile migration from Taipei to London, turning heartbreak into a powerful catalyst for growth and artistic expansion. Blending Electronic Art-Pop with avant-garde soundscapes, the album moves effortlessly between accessibility and experimentation. Tracks like A Fling and For You offer infectious hooks, while deeper cuts explore ambient textures, underground electronic pulses, and cinematic arrangements enhanced by Grammy-winning producer Max Heyes. From a listener’s perspective, this project stands out immediately. It’s an album that truly leaves a mark. The sonic palette is incredibly rich and diverse—ranging from ambient and experimental to hints of shoegaze and EDM—yet it never loses coherence. Everything feels intentional, unified by a strong artistic identity and a bold creative vision. The production and mix are exceptional, reaching a level where every element sits perfectly in place. The vocals are stunning—delicate yet powerful, adding emotional depth to an already layered sound design. There’s a clear sense of mastery behind every detail, from composition to arrangement. What makes this album truly special is its vision. The concept is ambitious and fully realized, reflecting creativity and technical skill at the highest level. It’s rare to encounter a debut that feels this complete, this confident, and this artistically fearless. Only a Broken Heart Can Hold the World positions Susan Style as a standout voice in the global experimental pop landscape—an artist with both the vision and the ability to push boundaries. 11/10 #obliq__ #obliqmusictaste #electronicpop #independentartist #newmusic by @s333cats

It’s out. Now. Unexpectedly, and completely beyond my plan—just like everything else in my life. It has been an incredibly intense time on every level this year for me, but somehow I managed to pull this album off in just two weeks, following right on the heels of another major event I pulled together last month. It’s a 100% miracle. This album is the story of my journey from Taiwan to London. It’s a record of the sleepless, hopeless days, feeling lost, and rebuilding everything from scratch. I wrote, sang, and produced all seven tracks myself—so you can have the full experience of the "Susan-style madness" underneath my pretty face. 😆 The title, "Only a Broken Heart Can Hold the World," comes from a prayer I whispered years ago. Coming to London with a broken heart humbled me. It dragged me out of my comfort zone and shattered my prejudices, habits, and self-limitations—again and again. My heart had to break so the world could finally fill in. 🌊 I am grateful for everything—both the good and the bad. The chaos worked out for the best in the end and changed the way I see the world forever. Most of the time, my world is beautiful. Stream it now on Spotify and join me in the madness, so you can share the same joy of me enjoying this ride. It’s scary, but it’s a beautiful, beautiful ride. 🎢❤️‍🔥 Link in Bio. Susan Style is a Taiwanese producer and singer-songwriter based in London, writing and producing her own material and treating this debut as a personal record shaped by leaving Taipei for London. She also worked with Max Heyes on the mix, a detail that matters here because these tracks move between club-ready drums and stranger, more detailed textures. by @s333cats

Listening to “Only a Broken Heart Can Hold the World” feels like watching a person become themselves in real time. It is reflective without being static, ambitious without being cold, and spiritually minded without losing its pop instinct. Susan Style has created a debut that feels intentional from beginning to end, and she does so with her unique voice. As an introduction to Susan Style, this album is memorable. She appears to be an artist with rare clarity: emotionally aware, sonically adventurous, and unafraid to build beauty out of fracture. That is not a common debut identity. It is the mark of someone already speaking in a language that feels complete. by @s333cats
