July 16, 2026 - Wedding #4 of the year 🤍

My first time in Washington State.
A rainy day, somehow paired with a perfectly clear Mount Rainier, sun rays peeking through the clouds.

A lovely young couple, full of faith, kindness, and so much love, surrounded by even more of it.

So many hardworking hands bringing the day together, filled with joy, laughter, and intention.

And a full white + beige dress code against the green of Washington.

This is for me, and this is to trying and to everyone who is trying.

I dedicate this to myself because sometimes I forget how I started things. I forget how much trying it took to begin, how much trying it took to keep going, and how much trying it still requires.

But maybe that’s the beauty of it.

That we keep trying anyway.
We keep moving, even when we don’t quite know where it’s taking us.

So keep trying.
All roads lead somewhere.

2021… I had just gotten laid off. My self-esteem was shot from the amount of interviews and rounds I went through, only to keep hearing, “we went with someone else.”

I’d shoot for fun. I think that was the first year I started posting the things I shot too, because something wasn’t working. I mean, the world wasn’t working.

So what do we do when something doesn’t work?
We pivot. We find another hope. We build another route.

I was shooting at cost: you buy me film, I shoot.

Do you, Semina.

Still some of my favorite shots.

And this was the first time a friend took a chance on me, you know who you are, and paid me to shoot BTS/social on set.

In my opinion, photos are like mirrors.

You see, you feel, you reflect, you read. Sometimes, you even see through people.

I remember being 13, visiting New York, at a cupcake shop in Soho, when someone asked me to test shoot. I was so excited. They did my makeup and everything.

And as we were shooting, the photographer stopped, looked at me, and asked,

“Why are you so sad?”

I remember being surprised that he could see something I hadn’t said out loud.

Maybe that’s what I’ve always loved about photographs.
Sometimes they catch what we’re trying to show.
Sometimes they catch what we’re trying to hide.

Success is subjective, of course, but sometimes it’s trying, meets opportunity, meets an audience.

And you never really know what that can become.

2021 - it got me on digital Vogue France and that made me really happy

I work with a lot of the same people, on many different things, through many different stages of their lives.

And I think there’s something really beautiful about that.
