POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I can’t believe my time playing flag football at Lindblom is coming to an end. This moment once felt so far away. I still remember my friends asking me to join the team in 8th grade, and I had absolutely no interest. Now, I can’t imagine my life without this sport.

I knew nothing about throwing a football, but from the first day of practice, the quarterback position found me, and I never looked back. This sport has taught me lessons about leadership, discipline, perseverance, and believing in myself. Most importantly, it has given me relationships and memories I’ll cherish forever.

Thank you to all my teammates for believing in me, being patient with me, and making my job as a quarterback easier. Thank you to @coachju_bbh and @athletickonnectiontraining for helping me develop my skills, and to Coach Hirsch for believing in me from the beginning, helping me grow as a leader/quarterback, and teaching me to believe in myself. Thank you to my mom for your endless love and support. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you.

Although this season didn’t end how we hoped, I’m proud of how far we made it. What started as something I didn’t even want to do became one of the most meaningful parts of my life. If I could go back to 8th grade, I’d choose this team all over again.

I’m not sure what the future holds, but the lessons, relationships, and memories will stay with me forever.

Thank you Lindblom Flag Football! ❤️💛🏈 by @s4maria___
