MY GOLDEN BIRTHDAY
Today, I’m celebrating more than just a birthday. I’m celebrating me the woman I’ve become, the woman I’m still becoming, and every version of me that had to make it through different seasons to get here.
I’ve grown. I’ve learned. I’ve cried. I’ve laughed. I’ve forgiven. I’ve outgrown things, people, places, and versions of myself that were no longer meant for me. And through it all, God never stopped covering me.
I’m grateful for the prayers that were answered, the ones that weren’t, and even the doors God closed when I didn’t understand why. Looking back now, I realize that some endings were actually protection, and some delays were preparation.
I’m learning that I don’t have to explain myself to everyone. I don’t have to chase what isn’t for me. I don’t have to prove my worth. I can love deeply, forgive genuinely, and still know when it’s time to protect my peace.
I’m proud of the woman I see in the mirror a woman who loves her family, follows her dreams, creates with purpose, believes in God, and continues to build a life that feels authentic to her.
This Golden Birthday feels different.  It feels like a reminder that I survived seasons I thought would break me, and I’m still here shining.
So here’s to more laughter, more love, more answered prayers, more opportunities, more growth, more beautiful memories, and more moments where I can look around and say, “God, You really did that.”
I’m not chasing the old version of me anymore. I’m embracing who I am becoming.
My Golden Birthday. My golden season. My time to shine.
And with God by my side, I truly believe the best is still ahead of me.
