Cole made birdie on 18 yesterday at Trysting Tree here in Corvallis to tie for the lead and then another birdie on the first playoff hole to win the Peter Jacobson Junior Challenge. He was 4 strokes back of the leader after day 1 and then finished with a bogey free round of -4. With his finish he qualified to play in the IMG Junior World Championships at Torrey Pines (San Diego) July 11-15! The field will include top juniors from around the world. Another awesome opportunity his hard work and grit has created. We are so happy for him! by @s_rueck

Countless hours and inspiring dedication have led Cole to the next phase of his journey! Yesterday was a very special day as Cole signed with BOISE STATE! We are all very grateful for the amazing and generous support he has received along the way! Fun to reminisce the moments and as he pursues his dreams and very proud of the man he has become!

Cole made this chip on 18 at Chambers Bay in WA today for an eagle and and even par 72. They are playing from 7,165 yards...that’s a long ways. He is in 2nd out of 63 guys after day 1 of the 2 day tourney. #GOCOLE by @s_rueck

Had the best time being back at George Fox this weekend! It was so special to be reunited with our incredible 2009 National Championship team as they were inducted in the Hall of Fame as well as individual inductees Kristen Shielee ’09 and Kim Leith ’06. Also inducted was the legendary Patty Findley who poured our more love each day in the GF Athletic department than most people are capable in a month or even a year. Needless to say a very special and impactful weekend! It was pure joy reminiscing some amazing times in our lives with each inductee and their families. It was also very special reconnecting with so many from the George Fox community in attendance! I am grateful to GFU (Adam Puckett, Elise Trask and team) for putting together such a special weekend for us all! #GoGFUBruins by @s_rueck

All you can ask for your kids is they find something they love and they go hard at it. This is one of those. A great freshman experience with these teammates and coaches capped off with a 4th place finish in state as a team and a 10th overall individual finish good for All-State honors for Cole. by @s_rueck
