A planting palette with a distinctly Australian feel.

The planting for Warm Welcome features a strong focus on Australian natives, complemented by carefully selected species to bring texture, colour and movement to the garden.

Banksia integrifolia takes centre stage, alongside Correa, Dianella, Grevillea, Eremophila, Kangaroo Paw, Native Daisy and a variety of native groundcovers.

The native selections not only create visual impact, but also provide valuable food, habitat and shelter for local wildlife - demonstrating how native planting can be incorporated beautifully into a contemporary landscape.

THEBARTON 🌿

A wildlife and edible garden designed to work with the existing landscape. Balancing productive planting with habitat, while giving new life to materials already found on site.

Repurposed red bricks form the central path, steppers and garden edging, giving new life to materials already found on site. Round-log steppers complement the brickwork, creating a natural, informal journey through the garden. 🧱

Existing bluestone has been transformed into a dry creek bed. Fed by a stormwater pipe from the roof, the creek bed allows water to permeate naturally into the ground. 💦

Existing fig, citrus, finger lime and wattle trees were retained, with new planting selected to provide nectar and habitat for wildlife (particularly lorikeets). New species include Grevillea ‘Fireworks’ and ‘Pink Profusion’, Callistemon viminalis, Eremophila maculata and Dianella revoluta ‘Emerald Fountain’. 🦜

After 12 years with Heynes Wholesale Nursery, we are saying farewell to John as he moves on to his next chapter.
John joined the business in sales before moving into production and ultimately Production Management, becoming a respected and valued member of the team along the way.
Known for his practical knowledge, commitment, steady approach and genuine passion for production, John played an important role during a period of growth and change within the business and helped support the evolution of our production operations.
