It’s my best friend’s birthday today, and it reminded me that my absolute favorite shots of her always capture her mid-laugh. Maybe because, at those moments, the little girl I grew up with beams right through. The last 5 years I saw Naley grow, stepping into her power as a force to be reckoned with. And as my oldest friend (since before we were born), she has never failed to amaze me. For everything she has endured to stand up for what is right, for the lengths she has gone to, to open the world’s eyes to the TRUTH, Naley’s heart remains as tender and as passionate as the first day we met. @naleybynature ♥️ by @saaadia_92

We all have deep ties to the places we call home. So much of that feeling comes from the person we become as a result of the foundations that held us.
Like so many people from South Lebanon, Hussein and his family have been displaced multiple times over the past two years due to ongoing Israeli attacks. He has witnessed firsthand the destruction of his home and takeover of his land.
Hussein released the “Made in South Lebanon” collection to not only reflect his pride, but to raise awareness of what is really happening.
The loss of his home has only strengthened his determination to return to his land and rebuild.

I had the opportunity to attend the largest funeral procession in modern history in Karbala, Iraq.

The late Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei was not simply a political leader for Iran, he was also a highly esteemed religious figure for Shia Muslims all around the world. And before his body was laid to rest in Mashhad in south of Tehran, his coffin was brought to Iraq to be carried through the holy shrines of Imam Ali in Najaf to Imam Hussein’s in Karbala, a journey of utmost historical and spiritual significance.

In anticipation of this monumental event, Iraq prepared for upwards of ten million people in attendance. To bear witness to a beloved and cherished figure for the last time. by @saaadia_92

New Substack post on meditating in the woods, intuition and the case for a total spiritual existence.

I wrote it yesterday and it quickly became my favorite piece of writing I have shared with you.

PS I know that the Natasha Bedingfield song goes:
“Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin”
But I always sang inhibitions as intuition🌹.

Thank you for reading. All 200 of you that read my posts. I am humbled that there are people in the world that resonate with my words. So thank you. Thank you. Thank you. 🧬✨ by @saaadia_92

I have been thinking about community lately. What community means to me immediately, but also in the broader sense. I come to realize how protective I am of community. As the consequences of ICE’s aggressive deployment across the US is inextricably linked to the same tech that was tested and refined upon Palestinians for years.

And if you know how quickly mass surveillance turns into databases for algorithmic analyses and AI-generated targeting in Gaza, then you know how quickly things can escalate with the tools ICE has at its fingertips.

This year, I decided to tap in to my local community through the amazing art commissioned by @noiceinthecup2026 from talented and incredible artists all throughout the country! The pieces are absolutely incredible and there are so many more available on the website.

By going into my community and posting these pieces, I was able to engage in real conversations that revealed the extent that ICE’s presence has destabilized people’s ability to earn and move freely. And now with the World Cup in town, their right to come together and enjoy carries those same fears. by @saaadia_92

New substack post where I reflect on God and my time in the Nativity Church in Palestine. Lately, I have been touched with nostalgia. The world is changing is so fast, and I cling to what is being left behind. by @saaadia_92
