Imagine Dele Momodu lecturing Bola Tinubu on democracy. What a comic relief! Twenty years after the dog was domesticated, the monkey was still living in the bush!

Let history speak: Tinubu helped Ladoja, Mimiko, Oshiomhole, Aregbesola, Fayemi and Ngige reclaim political relevance. He gave Atiku a platform when the PDP expelled him, stood with Buhari when others had given up, and played a key role in the coalition that produced the first successful opposition merger to defeat a sitting ruling party.

Since the APC was formed, Tinubu held no political office until 2023, sacrificing personal ambition while helping others rise.

Today, he maintains political relationships across party lines—from APGA’s Soludo to LP’s Otti and PDP’s Wike—yet some still call him a “one-party-state politician.”

You may disagree with Tinubu, but you cannot rewrite his history. His greatest political strength has always been coalition-building, political sacrifice and the ability to work across party lines.

That is democracy in practice—not democracy by lecture. by @saad_ayinla

The Cardinal’s remarks sounded more political than pastoral. This is why many argue that the Church should avoid partisan politics—once religious leaders step into the political arena, they should expect political scrutiny.

The bishops raised four major issues: missionary schools, insecurity, elections, and the economy.

On missionary schools, President Tinubu said the matter lies with state governments, not the Federal Government, and cited Lagos as an example where some schools were returned to the Church during his tenure as governor.

On insecurity and the economy, he acknowledged the challenges, outlined measures his administration is taking, and maintained that reforms are aimed at long-term stability.

On INEC and the alleged drift toward a one-party state, the bishops implied the government was influencing the electoral body. Tinubu rejected the allegation, described INEC as independent, and said it was not his responsibility to strengthen the opposition.

Whether one agrees with the bishops or the President, public debate should focus on facts rather than assumptions. Religious leaders are free to speak on national issues, but once they enter political debates, they should expect their views to be examined like those of any other public actor.

In 2023, when a candidate tag the general election as religious WAR, I believe the bishops were deep sleeping. by @saad_ayinla

Governor Seyi Makinde represents a profound betrayal of public trust. I believe his tenure has fallen far short of the expectations of those who elected him, and I view his emergence as governor as a product of circumstance rather than exceptional leadership.

May the fruits of your hard work, dedication, and perseverance bring you lasting success, putting your enemies to shame and silencing every voice raised against your progress. Just as the successes recorded by Nigeria’s security agencies have put some evil-minded Nigerians to shame and silence, may your achievements speak louder than every opposition. Ameen. by @saad_ayinla

The only leader who didn’t put second-term ambitions ahead of Nigeria’s development.

A leader who chooses solutions over excuses, taking on the challenges left behind instead of dwelling on blame.

He remains focused on delivering results and giving Nigerians hope for a better future.

Asiwaju, may you continue to succeed and never fall.

For me, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a highly intelligent and visionary leader. He understands the deep-rooted challenges facing Nigeria and has chosen to tackle them one step at a time.

Many of the reforms he has introduced may not produce immediate results, but I believe they are laying the foundation for a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria. I also believe that the conversation around state police is one whose time has come.

People are free to criticize the President—that is part of democracy. However, I believe history will judge him more kindly than many do today, and he may well become one of Nigeria’s most celebrated Presidents.

If you believe in his vision for a new Nigeria, then support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. In my opinion, his leadership offers the best opportunity to move the country forward.

May the Good Lord continue to bless and guide President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Tinubu is choosing the difficult road today so Nigeria can enjoy a better tomorrow. Real leadership is not about popularity; it is about making the right decisions when they matter most.

A vote for Tinubu is a vote for economic reform, fiscal discipline, and sustainable prosperity.
