A Minimal Kerala Wedding With Thoughtful IntentionsWhile many modern weddings lean towards grand celebrations, this couple’s approach was rooted in clarity and intention. Their idea was simple: a register marriage for themselves, and a modest Kerala-style ceremony for the people who matter.For them, the wedding was never about spectacle. It was about acknowledging two layers of meaning — the legal union that belongs to the couple alone, and the cultural celebration that belongs to family, cousins, friends and the close-knit circle who shaped their journey.The traditional rituals were pared down to the essentials: mala exchange, thalikettu, and ring ceremony. Without extended customs or elaborate sequences, the event retained a quiet dignity that respected both heritage and practicality. The venue styling followed the same vision, with ivory-and-gold tones, floral elements and clean backdrops that highlighted the couple’s attire without overwhelming the frame.The photographic narrative reflected this intimacy. "Being a wedding photographer in Kochi, whenever a client asks me about the best place for outdoor photography, I always recommend 'Kadamakkudi.' I have yet to uncover the connection between myself and this place. As per our plan, we were set to commence our journey from Kakkanad at 5 am. However, on this rainy day, Sarath called me and said, 'Hey, Saamiyettan, are you ready to go? We will reach your flat within 10 minutes.' Due to a late-night sleep that lasted until 4 am, I responded to Sarath, 'It's raining outside. Can we proceed?' His reply was, 'Let's give it a try to reach there.' 'Kadamakkudi' has never failed to amaze me. Every time I've shot there, whether it's a pre-wedding, model, or travel session, I've captured incredible and stunning images. This time was no exception.
