✨I was 16 I was already scared knowing I was becoming a mother but when they told me at 7 months that I would have a child with Down syndrome, I was terrified😢. I wasn’t worried about you but I was scared I wouldn’t be a good enough mother. I was told you would never amount to anything and would be “a couch potato” 🙄. You have showed them that you do what you want (when you want😅). I have never and never will be afraid to say loud and proud I am a T21 mom💙💛. You know how they say once you find a good thing you have to stick with it , well that’s how I feel about my non toxic hair and skin care 🌱

If you know you know I was doing this before but life happened and I thought getting back into the work field was best , welp as a special needs mama / mother / wife that just wasn’t working out , I was having the miss out on moments with my family and having to miss time when my son needed me to leave work.

But no pasa nada we got this baby 👏🏻 I don’t have to pick being present over being successful and this time around I’m not worried about what anyone thinks about me on social media 😎

💙💛 October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month 💛💙

As a mama to a little boy who was born with Down syndrome, this month means so much to me. 🥹💙

My son has taught me so much about love, patience, strength, and celebrating the little things in life. He has reminded me that every child has their own journey, their own abilities, and their own beautiful way of seeing the world. 🫶🏼

Down syndrome is a part of his story, but it is not his entire story. He is SO much more than a diagnosis. He is his own little person with a personality, dreams, feelings, and so much love to give. 💙💛

As his mama, I will always advocate for him, celebrate every milestone, and do my part to help the world become a place where he is accepted, included, and loved exactly as he is.

This month, I hope we can all remember that awareness is important, but acceptance, inclusion, and kindness matter every single day. 💙

To all the extra-special warriors with that extra chromosome and the families walking this journey, you are seen, you are loved, and your stories matter. 🧦💛💙
