By @sabbaseba: The publication “SchriftBILD” contains an analog exploration of typography as a visual medium, focusing on letters as form, structure, and expressive design element. The content develops from black and white to grayscale and ultimately into colors. The process shifts between structured letters and organic shapes. Werkschau concept for @fhpotsdam.design

The concept is based on one typographic design and expanded together with fellow students from different design disciplines across a wide range of workshops.
The project highlights the students, the diversity of the workshops and the various production processes that shape our everyday life at the university.

To bring all of the resulting designs together and make them animate seamlessly, I developed a tool inspired by the now almost forgotten prism flip displays (usually silent). s/o. The tool allows you to generate endless loops (excerpts are shown here) from your own content while giving you full control over a variety of parameters, including format, speed, number of prisms, flip style, and lighting.

The tool will, when finalised, be available on my website. I’d love to see you experiment with it. And even more, I’d love to see what you create with it. x
