Willi has found a new home. Title: B & B (loosely based on an examination of representation of masculinity from the Seventies) 60 x 60 cm oil on canvas, from "Ship of Theseus", so far, 12 x 12 x 60 x 60 canvasses, arranged 2 x 6, one merging into the other, an ongoing typological exploration, roughly along biographical lines, marking the 6 decades of my life so far. B & B was sold at open studios in Lichtenberg. I will replace the spot in the series with a new painting and think about original, copy, replacement and the many variants and changes I underwent in terms of identity, given my biography, the whole Ship of Theseus thingy.... by @sabiwalsky

Die Session beginnt mit der Künstlerin und Wissenschaftlerin Dr. Lisa Glauer und der Kuratorin, Künstlerin und Kunstvermittlerin Dr. Anne Kurr. Sie leiten die Session ein und geben Impulse zum kollaboratorischen Arbeiten und künstlerischer Forschung.

Narrenschiff: collaborative and performative drawing experiment mit Dr Lisa Glauer.

An einer fahrbaren Vorrichtung sind Mal- und Zeichenwerkzeuge sowie vier Seile angebracht; weiteres Zeichenmaterial liegt in der Nähe. Die Teilnehmenden entscheiden gemeinsam über das weitere Vorgehen, indem sie an den Seilen ziehen und so Spuren auf Papier oder Leinwand hinterlassen. Neben der Wahl eines Motivs – etwa eines Bildes, Zeichens, Wortes oder einer Erinnerung – besteht die größte Herausforderung darin, umfassende Anweisungen zu formulieren und die Bewegungen zu koordinieren; dies regt zu einem offenen Austausch an. Dem Experiment geht eine Aufwärmübung voraus. by @sabiwalsky

All day prep, ready for shipment: AWE (artists who educate) in Solidarity with Care. 6x 60 x 80 cm, oil on canvas. Removed all the handprinted linocuts from the sign poles, removed them from the frames, refitted with foam and sealed the backs with linen for the show: Recruit and Retain, invited by Käthe Wenzel #kaethewenzel . Wenn wir die Arbeit niederlegen, steht die Welt still. If we lay down our labor, the world will come to a stand still. Feminist slogan. Looking forward to seeing how the piece holds up!!
In RECRUIT & RETAIN arbeiten neun Partnerorganisationen unter der Leadpartnerschaft der Forschungseinheit des Universitätshospitals Seeland sowie acht Netzwerkpartner zusammen. Das Projekt wird vom Programm Interreg Deutschland-Dänemark gefördert. by @sabiwalsky

The mosaic work by my 12th graders, based on a line drawn by "Windgeschirr Nr 4" in Goethepark Bernau, puzzled together, taken apart, reconfigured and connected to the lines made by Windgeschirr N2 in the gallery. The red above seems to spill into the first mosaic. Huge step by me, too - connecting my exhibition work to my teaching like this. by @sabiwalsky

My 12th students interpreted one of the lines and made a collective mosaic out of it. I left it for them to decide, meaning I literally left the room, while they conceptualized and I had given them a few pointers and they managed, within two weeks of class, (10 hours á 45 minutes) to produce a collective, variable "Zusammengesetztes Bild". Bravo! by @sabiwalsky
