In 1956 my grandfather opened the doors to what would be the next 66 years (and counting) of our family’s airline fascination. Between myself, my mom, my dad, my aunt and of course my grandpa we have managed to work for 7 different airlines in 6 decades.

(Pan American World Airways, Eastern Airlines, Trump Shuttle, US Airways, Delta Airlines, American Airlines, and United Airlines. )

Getting to visit the TWA hotel was a truly rewarding, nostalgic, and energizing experience. Not only was I able to return to the airport that gave me my first glimpse into the glamour of the airline industry, but I was able to step back in time to the golden era of aviation. I had an overwhelming sense of pride as I revisited the past and reflected on where we are now.

I am so honored to call this industry my home, and I have the privilege of sharing it with my family. This line of work is truly like no other, and I am reminded everyday of how lucky I am to be flying the friendly skies.

Here’s to many more decades of aviation to come.
