Stewarding peace in Jesus ❤️‍🔥
Learning that peace requires as much intentionality as hardship & struggle. We often know how to survive hardships but never fully grasp how to steward peace. Israel entered rest, but many returned to the very cycles God had delivered them from. Let’s enter His rest and remain.

Enjoy the process. ❤️‍🔥

I know we all get excited about the “for such a time as this” moments, the doors opening, the opportunities, the answered prayers! But don’t rush to the moment so fast that you miss what God is doing in the middle.

Esther wasn’t just ready for such a time as this. She was prepared through the process.

That’s where so much of God’s work happens.

You’re not striving to earn the moment God has for you. You’re living from the confidence that He’s already with you.

I’m reminded to not despise the process! Don’t wish this season away. God is just as faithful in the preparation as He is in the promise. If He has appointed a time for you, then you can trust Him with the journey too.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11

LEGACY.

I’m loving celebrating life off social media with my loved but I also felt led by Jesus to share this on Facebook & Instagram to encourage someone!

I’m deeply honored to receive the VCU School of Education Community Impact Award, and so grateful to one of my favorite colleagues. Dr. Jenna Lenhardt, for the nomination.

More than the award, I’ve been sitting with how the Father works in the hidden places…where He builds character, not just outcomes. The unseen matters just as much as the seen.

Don’t rush past the cultivation just to reach the spotlight. Focus on nearness to Him. Character matters more than recognition, because character is what carries what God entrusts to you.

And when honor does come, let it remind you: God sees you, and sometimes He allows others to see you too, not for “self glory”, but so the Father is glorified through your life.

Stay faithful in the HIDDEN. That’s where He’s building something that lasts.

None of this has been done alone. I’ve been covered & so loved, by prayer, wisdom, correction, and people who believed in me long before any title EVER showed up.

We’ve been talking about legacy this month at my church, and this award made me stop and really think: what am I actually building? What do I want my life to leave behind? What impact am I making on the Earth? I’m sitting with that.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

Joyous June ❤️‍🔥

There is so much freedom in joy.

Joy is a fruit of the Spirit, produced as we abide in the Lord. Though this year has held both beauty and battles, God has been faithful.

“For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Romans 14:17

Joy that strengthens weary and longing hearts.
Joy that fills homes and families.
Joy over every father and man.
Joy in identity.
Joy in the process.
Joy in answered prayers.
Joy while we wait.
Joy that reminds us God is still good.

This June, I’m praying for abundant joy, fresh strength, and beauty for ashes.

No more sideline dwellers.

Yes, there are moments when God calls us to the bench to heal, rest, refuel, and be restored. But the bench was neverrrrr meant to become your permanent home. There comes a time to get back in the game and let your light shine again!

Matthew 5:16 reminds us:
“Let your light shine before others…”

The world needs what God placed inside of YOU. Mmmhm, you! Your voice, your obedience, your love, your service, your testimony…it all points people back to Him.

Rest when you need to. Heal when you need to. But don’t stay hidden forever. It’s time to get back in the game champ! So let scrolling, let comparison, let fear go out the dooooor and get back to God’s will! by @sabrinalevans
