Another two McLarens we had the pleasure of taking care of 🔧

A stunning 570GT belonging to the lovely Amanda, alongside a 570S belonging to Shaz & Rick from @couttsbank

Both cars came to us needing a fair amount of maintenance and remedial work after a less-than-ideal experience elsewhere. We went through both cars properly, addressing the issues and getting them back to where they should be.

CLA45 AMG Stage 2 🚀

One of those cars that offers serious performance for the money now, especially considering how affordable the early CLA45s have become.

This one came in for:
• Stage 2 ECU software
• Hard2Race catless downpipe
• Performance panel filter
• Pops & bangs activated in Sport mode

Now making around 440HP, with much sharper response, stronger mid-range and plenty more aggression from the exhaust when Sport mode is selected.

For the money these cars can be picked up for now, you’re getting a lot of performance from a relatively simple setup.

Audi S3 Stage 2 | 420HP | Flames on Demand 🔥

After using us to tune several of his vehicles, Kammy brought us his S3 for the full treatment.

Power-wise, we took it to Stage 2 — circa 420HP, but his main request was simple: make the overrun as ASBO as possible 😂

So alongside the performance calibration, we set this one up with an aggressive pops & bangs / flames-on-demand dynamic mode ONLY, using altered ignition timing and additional fuelling on overrun to get that savage exhaust note and the flames he wanted.

Do aggressive pops, bangs and flames increase long-term wear? Of course they do. Excessive exhaust temperatures and repeated combustion in the exhaust can accelerate wear to exhaust valves, turbo components, and other engine components, especially if you're constantly sitting there abusing it.

As long as the customer understands the trade-off and specifically wants the asbo over run, we shall play ball

It’s not always about the fancy cars. The real buzz for us is building relationships with customers and helping bring their vision to life, whatever the budget. 🤝

This E46 330Ci is a perfect example. Being naturally aspirated, there’s only so much we can do on the factory management, but that doesn’t mean we can’t completely change the way the car feels and sounds.

📈 Approx. +20hp / +20ft-lb

Nothing crazy. Nothing over the top. Just the right modifications to make an already great E46 that little bit more enjoyable.

Sometimes it’s not about chasing huge numbers — it’s about working with the customer, their vision and their budget to create something they genuinely enjoy driving.

• V-Max limiter removed

Loud car + tunnel = mangasm

The ’tism really does come out when one hits a tunnel… had to chop out some of the overly extra bits 😅

Throwback to this McLaren 570 we overhauled a while back.

This thing came to us in a very sorry state — arriving on the back of a flatbed, misfiring, seriously underpowered, cats rattling and generally needing some love.

A proper overhaul later: Gen 3 battery, fresh plugs and coils, downpipes and a mild tune — and we had this McLaren back driving and sounding how it should.

There’s just something special about bringing a car like this back to life.

Tunnels + loud cars… probably best to keep me away from that combination 🤣

@millteksport Cat-Back Sound Check 🔊 | MK7 Golf R

A proper OEM+ upgrade for the EA888 platform. The Milltek cat-back gets rid of that usual raspy exhaust note, gives the car a much deeper and cleaner tone, while still retaining the factory exhaust valve.

It’s noticeably louder than OEM when you want it to be, but still stays civilised and quiet in Comfort mode.

One thing worth noting from experience — on GPF-equipped cars, a cat-back alone won’t make a huge difference. If you’re chasing a real increase in volume and character, a downpipe or GPF removal is the way to go.

Big congrats to you both – what an absolute movie. 🎥

Long overdue 😂 but it was class seeing you two finally tie the knot. Unreal day, even better people, and definitely one for the memory bank.

Highlight of the day had to be the Imaam/priests reminder before the vows:

A few of the McLarens we've had the pleasure of working on over the years. 🧡
It's always an honour to work on machines like these. From 540Cs to 600LTs and everything in between, every single one feels special.
Let's be honest... most of them first arrive in typical McLaren fashion needing a repair... But once they're sorted, they usually stay with us for all their maintenance, performance upgrades and tuning.
You can say what you want about reliability, paint corrosion, leaks, creaks or the little quirks they have... but to me, McLarens have something that many modern supercars don't. They have a soul.
If I had to pick one, the 600LT gets my vote every time. It's something truly special. Flames on shift right behind your head 😮‍💨 what a machine.
