I finally made time to visit one of my posters, and honestly I’m still trying to process all of this. Not many of you know my story, but coming from where I’m from this is a big deal.

My journey with @ceetoronto started in July 2021 when I enrolled in their VFX program. A few weeks into the program, my nephew passed away due to development issues. During that time I felt like giving up, but they made it their duty to provide me with the necessary support to get me through…as a result, l graduated that year top 3 of my cohort. In 2022 through their mentorship and training in the Etrades program, I was selected to intern as a SPFX artist on @handmaidsonhulu

There’s so much more I’d like to say about CEE Toronto, but I don’t think there are enough words to express my gratitude. You gave me an opportunity to flip the narrative and to show the world “Who I Really Am”, and what I am capable of….It is truly an honour to be 1 out of 9 alumni chosen to be the face of such a powerful campaign. Thank you for continuing to help young Black professionals like myself discover our potential and showcase our talents. Proud to be a CEE alumni, and to share my story, skills and passion with the city as part of this campaign 🙏🏾✨

A few of my favourite frames taken from this year’s “Be The Change” exhibit by @fs_project. A photo exhibit presenting perspectives on identity, lived experiences and the desire for positive change.
