∼ LA CASA ES PURO TEATRO

Sacha Walckhoff (@sacha.walckhoff), director creativo de Christian Lacroix Maison, transformó una antigua granja en Cataluña en su escenario personal. Color, arte, humor y piezas con historia componen un decorado vital que se interpreta tanto como se habita.

Tengo una larga historia con Cataluña”, comienza en su bello español Sacha Walckhoff (París, 1962), diseñador y director creativo de la línea de hogar y seda de Christian Lacroix. “De niño y hasta los 18 años pasaba el verano en Platja d’Aro y Palamós, ya que mi familia tenía una cabaña en Calonge”, recuerda. Estudió moda en Barcelona y, aunque desarrolló su carrera en París junto al célebre modista de Arlès, en la pandemia surgió de nuevo el anhelo por la Costa Brava. “Estuve seis meses mirando en Internet, y en 2021 vine con mi marido –explica Sacha– y visitamos cinco casas muy distin- tas, pero ésta me dio el golpe. Con el tiempo, me he dado cuenta de que se parece mucho a aquella cabaña de mi infancia en Calonge”.

Cantallops es un pueblo del Empordà interior con 300 habitantes, a media hora de la playa. Can Can –así llama Sacha a su refugio– era una antigua granja olivarera transformada en casa de vacaciones en 1900. Tiene 500 m² en dos plantas y una gran terraza que mira al campo. “Para renovarla trabajamos con gente del pueblo. Sin la pasión de Olivier Ledesma, nuestro jefe de obra, nada hubiera sido posible. También la del carpintero, que reconoció aquí piezas que hicieron su bisabuelo y su padre; el constructor, que venía aquí de niño con su madre, que trabajaba en la casa... Los lugareños conocen y le tienen cariño. A mí me encanta eso”.

CASA CAN CAN opened the doors for @maneramagazine’s September issue.

Once an old farmhouse in the Empordà, Spain, it has been transformed into his owner’s personal stage. Home of Sacha Walckhoff, Creative Director of Christian Lacroix Maison. Colour, art, humour, and history create a vibrant setting that is as much interpreted as inhabited.

Against a backdrop of untamed olive groves, a table is set on the terrace, decorated with Christian Lacroix Maison debut crystal collection – RÊVE DE CRISTAL – alongside porcelain treasures from our FÊTE VOS JEUX, RÊVERIES and HERBARIAE collections.
