There is so much we carry through a year. Experiences we have barely had time to feel. Releases still moving through us. Desires waiting for a little space to be heard. As we approach Samhain, I feel the invitation to pause. To honour the endings in our lives and the people who came before us. To listen to what this turning of the seasons stirs within our own bodies. While the veil is thin.. drawing inward. Gathering. To make time for the parts of our lives that so easily get passed over. To remember that we can meet these transitions together. I would love to welcome you into circle & ceremony this Samhain. We will make our own descent within.

Gathering in circles is one of the oldest forms of human connection. Long before classrooms, boardrooms and endless rows of chairs, we gathered in circles. Around a fire. Under the moon. Sharing food, stories, grief, celebration and the wisdom that could only be passed from one human to another. Not because it was spiritual. Not because it was something to schedule into a busy calendar. It was simply woven into everyday life.

Especially women gathered. Daughters, mothers and grandmothers came together through every season of life. To share stories. Wisdom. To honour the body. To bleed together. To grieve. To create. To celebrate. To support. To remember that no woman was ever meant to carry life alone.

Then something shifted. Society became increasingly linear, so did the way we lived. The rise of patriarchal systems and religious persecution slowly pulled us away from the circle. Many of the rituals that once connected women to their bodies, to the Earth and to one another became something to fear, suppress or forget.

We learned to keep going.
To hold it together.
To process alone.
To believe that asking for support was weakness.

Yet .. the body remembers.

It remembers what it feels like to be deeply witnessed. To cry without being interrupted. To rage without being silenced. To laugh until your belly hurts. To watch another woman slowly learn to love her body again after years of abandoning it. To finally take up the space she has been apologising for her entire life, while the women around her quietly whisper, “Yes. sister, stay there.. I am with you.”

This is why we gather. Not to escape life, but to return to it more whole. To remember that healing does not only happen within us. It also happens between us.

In two days we will open the circle once again in the Portuguese mountains.

There are some journeys we take to discover something new. And.. there are others that bring us back to what we have always known. Back into our bodies. Our softness. Our wildness. Our capacity to feel, trust, rest, receive, express, play and be fully alive. For 6 days we gather with a small circle of incredible women into Somatic work, Ceremony, Breath, Sisterhood, Movement, Womb Healing, Rituals, permission and all the spaces in between. Caressed by the Portuguese mountains and healing waters.

Every woman arrives with her own story. Yet, remembering that we were never meant to walk this alone. 🌕

One of the deepest journeys we can take in life is the journey back home to our bodies. The place that is always waiting for us to finally start listening. The connection we have been distant from as women. As society. As culture. As human beings. Living from our heads up. Analysing, anticipating, overthinking. Women caring for everyone around us but ourselves. Staying busy, staying strong, bracing, protecting. Meanwhile, our bodies are patiently holding everything we haven’t yet had the space to feel, or slowed down long enough to listen. To feel our trust, our peace, our safety, our joy, our rest, our sensuality, our freedom. Experiences our bodies already know. That’s why so much of our work begins there. By creating enough safety for the body to begin the somatic conversation itself. Leaning into the wisdom of our beautiful bodies.

Moments captured during our Signature Retreat in Portugal last summer with our beautiful sister @dirkjebezemer. Every woman unfolds in her own rhythm. Without force or rush. Slowly Remembering. Yet sometimes, with a little extra permission we have been needing all along. Under each layer of protection, there is so much life waiting to be lived.

Our 9th gathering in Portugal begins on 31 August. If your body has been whispering that it’s time to come home to yourself, let this be your invitation. 🤍

This will be the 9th time we gather in Portugal. Over the past 4 years, this land has welcomed women to unravel their softness & wildish self. Some know exactly why they are joining. Other women followed a whisper // feeling they couldn’t explain. By the end of the journey, strangers have become sisters. Leaving the land with a feeling of more home within themselves and a sense of magical unfolding to life & sisterhood.

One of the greatest gifts my healing journey has given me is a different relationship with my body. Over the years, she has become less of something to control .. and more of someone to care for. I notice what I feed her. How I move her. Where I bring her. What I place upon her. What she absorbs through sound, touch, energies, materials, visuals. Our skin is our largest organ. She absorbs far more than we often realise, including ingredients that can interfere with our hormonal system. Learning that became another invitation to listen more deeply and to choose products that feel nourishing for both my body and the Earth. With love, instead of perfection 💗

So having @solmate.suncare alongside us during our Summer Solstice Weekend Immersion with @sacred__remembrance felt so beautifully aligned. They nourished the women and myself so yummy. Every woman was gifted their natural sunscreen, face oil, body oil and bug spray. Little companions as we spent our days barefoot, in ceremony, beneath the sun and among the trees. Simple. Natural. Handmade with so much care. For Mother Earth and our bodies. 🌺

preparing to gather again this weekend for the summer solstice edition. and this gathering feels extra special - for the first time, we are creating a weekend devoted entirely to reunion (!). there is something deeply sacred about gathering again. a space to return to the women, the feeling, the laughter, the tears, the songs, the sisterhood. to sit around the fire once more and witness ourselves through the mirror of another. women from different countries, seasons and ceremonies have come together through this work. arriving with a shared language already living in the body. a weekend to simply be together again.

reminiscing on these memories from last spring immersion. 🌺 one of the women from last year’s spring immersion reached out recently, to share that a prayer she carried during those days had finally come into fruition. such a beautiful reminder that the medicine of gathering — and perhaps the mystery and beauty of women — doesn’t end when the journey does. holding so much gratitude for these memories, the women, and all that continues to unfold beyond what our eyes can see.
