My #goddessmandala is now done, though I am pondering whether to paint the outer border an inky blue 🤔 Inspired by the alchemical colours of #venus I’ve used a background wash of #verdigrisink from @londonpigment and #copperleaf from @goldleafsupply

The amazing #chameleonwatercolor that shifts from teal to purple is from @reneeissancecolours and the #moons are painted with a pale gold watercolour called #nacre by @_tinyclouds Pearls and the scallop shell are symbols of Venus.

The pattern was taught by Vija Docherty from @sacredartofgeometry on the #mooncalendar course, the design inspired by @rachelshiamhquietearth

I’m keeping this one for me as she represents my #wordoftheyear which is #pleasure (another Venusian quality). If you’d like a goddess mandala for yourself do get in touch - the link to my website is in my bio. taken in Eastbourne, East Sussex by @sacredintuitiveart

Today I went to @thecollegeofpsychicstudies to see the exhibition of artwork by Ethelwynne M Quail. Her ethereal drawings and paintings of devas are exquisite. This was my first visit to the College which gave me the opportunity to look at the art in their permanent collection. The Quail exhibition is on the fourth floor and I really felt intense energy so that I became very hot and felt ‘spaced out’ so I didn’t sit with the art as long as I would have liked. The feeling gradually cleared as I returned to the ground floor. taken in The College of Psychic Studies by @sacredintuitiveart

Sitting soaking up the afternoon sun with a Prosecco at the beach deck cafe I was reminded of this painting from 2020. It’s a pattern from the Mexuar room at the Alhambra and was taught online by @adamwilliamsonart during the pandemic. Those weekend classes kept me sane. I chose a palette inspired by the colours of the sea, having moved to Eastbourne less than a year earlier in 2019 in search of an art studio by the sea. This painting sold immediately. My current art for sale is available on my website - link in bio.

Walking through this house reminded me of the old TV programme “Through the Keyhole” and the question “Who could possibly live in a house like this?” Surfaces and furniture were painted, art hung on the walls, bookcases, tables and writing desks. This was definitely the home of the artists and writers that lived here. taken in Charleston House and Garden, Sussex by @sacredintuitiveart

And it is done. Inspired by the lunar eclipse in Pisces on 28 August. At the centre there is the blood moon hovering over a sea containing the zodiac glyph for Pisces. Encompassed by a 12 pointed star to represent completion and Pisces as the last sign of the zodiac. By dividing the circle into 7 I’ve created the 28 pointed starburst containing the moon phases. Palladium lead to gild the moons. Priority access to purchase this painting will go to subscribers of my newsletter which is out on 23 Sept. Link in bio.
