Wisdom Wednesday #2

Apparently, doing nothing takes practice too.

Not resting so I can be more productive later.
Not turning it into another thing to get good at.
Just making a little room for myself with nowhere else to get to.

I keep thinking about how easy it is to be present when everything feels good.

Water-colored water. Wet bikini > wetsuit any day. Harvesting lemongrass with friends. Celebrations from the heart. Leaving room for spontaneity. The kind of sunset that makes everyone stop what they’re doing and look.

But I’m learning something about the other moments too.

The uncomfortable ones. The uncertain ones. The ones I want to hurry through or make mean something before they’re even over.

Maybe being here is just being here.

Not trying to hold onto the beautiful parts or get through the hard ones faster.

Letting all of it touch me.

Elle says it better than I ever could. 😂

A couple of little therapy balls. A surprisingly big difference.

I’ve been teaching this work for years because it’s simple, practical, and you can actually take it home with you.

Apparently, Elle is hooked for life. 😏

This is exactly the kind of thing we practice inside Sacred too — simple tools for feeling better in your body, wherever you are.

I don’t think we always need to get back on track.

Maybe we just need one tiny place to come back to.

Mine is tea this week.

I think we’re supposed to make things.

With our hands.
Slowly.
Badly, sometimes.

Things that don’t need to become businesses
or content
or even be particularly useful.

Just taking some earth
and spending an afternoon with it.

Making a bowl.
Making another one.
Laughing with friends.
Getting dirt-filled fingernails.

And eventually bringing that little piece of earth home
and letting it become part of your rituals.

I think that is enough.

There is no rush to become.

So be here for it.

New places.
New people.
Ridiculous ideas.
Random joys.
Things done for no reason other than they delight you.

Maybe expansion isn’t about becoming more.
