This vegan restaurant in NYC is a 10/10 every single time. They have several locations across the city and no matter which one I go to I find it just as delicious as the others. I highly recommend going here whether you’re vegan or not you’ll definitely leave satisfied!

My order:
- Dan Dan Noodles
- Chopped Cheese Egg Rolls
- Hen Of the Woods Bao Bun
- Fried Calamari
- Duck Wrap
- General Tso Chicken

& yes everything is 100% VEGAN but the flavor is also 100% there.

📍Spicy Moon - 232 8th Ave, New York, NY 10011, United States

I spent ~$150.00 (including tip) and this can easily serve 3 people.

this month has been full of reflective moments so far; especially surrounding relationships. I’m so grateful for the relationships that don’t take much effort, where everything is easily understood. I’m also learning a lot from the relationships that I find difficult. I’m asking myself questions about how I perceive myself, how I perceive others, how others perceive me, and realizing how intricate and fragile language is especially when there aren’t bodies present to provide emotion. When your physical isn’t present how does one portray you? What emotions do they correlate with your expression and attitude? What energy do you attract and what energetic space do you occupy? I want to move through love, light, and harmony from now on, and when the energy gives the pigeon’s vibe I’m going to be moving like Brandy 😭 by @sadeonthemoon

I got my nails done over a month ago while I was visiting the UK. I saw this girl’s nails at @sippingboba.uk and I HAD to know where she got them done, sis put me ON! But it was time for a new set 😪.

I’ve always struggled to find a nail tech in nyc so I really just stopped looking, until I came across the nail tech that did this set!! She was so sweet and got the job done quickly. So if you’re ever looking for a nail tech in nyc now you know where to go.

pov: un Domi celebrando el 27 pensando que fue cuando RD superó las fuerzas coloniales

like no bby that was December 1st, 1821 and then August 16th, 1863 😩 I didn’t know this until a few years ago so NO SHAME! But here’s some history tea:

Spain ruled the Dominican Republic for about 300 yrs. Spain enslaved West African people, kidnapped them, and trafficked them across the ocean settling on the island of Quisqueya, which originally belonged to Taínos. The colonized island was renamed Hispaniola by Spanish settlers. The enslaved people were forced to work on sugar cane, tobacco, and other plantations. Many of the Taíno people faced genocide.

After fighting their own revolution, and succeeding in gaining independence, Haiti assisted the Dominican Republic with gaining its own independence from colonial rule. DR was free by December 1821 and in 1822 Haiti occupied DR working to reunify Hispaniola/Quisqueya. On Feb. 27th, 1844 DR declared itself a free sovereign state no longer wanting unity with Haiti (similar to Great Britain’s “brexit” from the European Union).

I’m Dominican and proud but what Haiti did to try and reunify the nation is not the same as what Spain did so it not the Day of Independence that I choose to celebrate 🤷🏾‍♀️. To each their own, but it’s important to understand what you’re celebrating and why.
