Okay, who here remembers my @barre3 kitchen counter workout series? What about my LBD workout? I know, so cringe! (Scroll to see 👠👗💪🏽😂) BUT….it led to more than I imagined at the time. Amy McNamara’s path to @barre3arlington ownership started right in her kitchen with me. Join us for a conversation about career transitions, leading with soul, and having agency to design our days around what we value the most. 9-5 office days be gone! We will also take direct questions live about what being a studio owner is really like at barre3. Link in profile to register! If you can’t make the time, still register and we will send you recording. 🎙️ by @sadielincoln

In the words of our dearest Dolly Parton— “Find out who you are and do it on purpose.”

I know your heart is as broken as mine learning she passed away. I also know we are all tied together as we remember her through the great gift of love, the importance of building community, being inclusive, generously giving, honoring the power of femininity, laughing at ourselves a little more, and judging ourselves a little less.

So many of these values are ones I grew up with and are at the center of barre3. I know you resonate with them because you are right here with me on this journey. Some of you have been here all 18 years of building barre3. Some of you are brand new and already feel like old friends.

Thank you from both me and Chris for coming as you are, and making us all better for it. Here’s to the next 18++++! by @sadielincoln

Did you catch the lunar eclipse? It felt like a quiet understanding that ties us all together somehow.

The timing was poignant for me as I step into a weekend celebrating 18 years of barre3. Building a company alongside raising my children (who have grown into my absolute favorite adults) feels more than closing a chapter. It feels like finishing an entire novel!

A lunar eclipse is a gentle reminder that the shadow is just as essential as the light—making space for a new cycle to begin. I’m stepping forward with the wisdom built not just on the wins, but on the hard, dark, painful moments of coming into my own as a leader, a wife, and a mother.

If barre3 and raising kids have taught me anything, it’s that growth is a deeply humble act. You face the shadows, you allow them to make room for new light, and you learn to ✨ trust something much bigger that connects all of us together ✨

So ready to step into what’s next—with a full heart and so much gratitude. 🤍 by @sadielincoln

Celebrating 18 years at barre3 with 18 outcomes that surprised me. 🧡

1. Core ball legacy: Way more than a prop—it’s officially the most stolen item by kids for neighborhood kickball games. ⚽️
2. Studio owner reality: Mindful practice is less about breathing through legwork, and more about breathing through dust bunnies. 🧹
3. Online subscribers: Proof connection doesn’t need a room. Your energy, humor, and support make us better every day. 💻✨
4. The workout: 18 years in, class is still challenging. REALLY challenging.
5. The spark: I still genuinely love teaching as much as day one.
6. B3 next gen: Our babies in play-lounge are now teaching for us. 👶—>🧘🏻‍♀️
7. Modifications: barre3 reframe— make it your own to GET results. 💥
8. Invisible results: Bone density, heart health, pain-free movement, regulated hormones, and confidence.
9. The 45-min transformation: The post-class glow still amazes me every single time. ✨
10. Quiet healing: Grief, stress, and self-doubt lifted within our walls—often shared with us years later.
11. Client generosity: The baked goods, cards, hugs, and love our teams get daily mean everything. 🥹
12. barre3 besties: Thousands of meet-cutes and lifelong friendships born right at the barre. 👯‍♀️
13. Career pivoters: The badass women who left corporate jobs to open studios or join our team. Beyond honored.
14. Real icons: Training household-name celebs was a pinch-me moment 🎤—but the household names who built this house? The everyday women on our studio floor.
15. Woman-owned: 100% owned and operated alongside the most incredible women.
16. Co-founder love: Still married to my favorite co-founder—and love him even more today. 👩‍❤️‍👨
17. Generations: From infants in play lounges to grandmas pulsing next to granddaughters, we get strong together. 🧡
18. Growing up at 54: Grown alongside you as a leader, friend, daughter, wife, and mom. So proud of 18 years with you, barre3. by @sadielincoln

Twinning in matching outfits with my grand-kitty Linus. This whole cat-on-a-lap situation while working is really helping me stay centered. Any cat people out there? I haven’t had a cat in decades and I am sending a PSA that if you need to chill the f out go get yourself one! by @sadielincoln

Why not stop at 5 or 25?

A fellow entrepreneur asked me this morning why we decided to scale @barre3 to 200+ studios.

It’s a fair question. When my husband, Chris, and I wrote our original business plan, we modeled around 25 exercise studios in the Pacific Northwest.

But within a year of opening, we realized our growth wasn’t actually about physical locations. It was about how many women resonated with the opportunity.

I distinctly remember writing in my journal back then:

“Surely there are at least 200 women out there who are like me—desperately seeking to own a business that supports their values of motherhood, mental and physical health, and freedom.”

I pictured them. I would close my eyes and imagine these future studio owners all over the country, sitting at their dinner tables, talking to their partners about feeling empty.

Is this it?
Isn’t there more for me?

I knew in my bones I would find them. And we did. Today, we have crossed over that 200-studio mark.

Since opening our first studio 18 years ago, the world has changed drastically. In a culture that feels increasingly automated and digitally distracted, the desire for something REAL has only grown:

✨ We want to own our time.
✨ We want a real voice in our future.
✨ We want to build a career grounded in purpose—being in business for yourself, but never by yourself.

I still close my eyes and envision our growth this way (I see 250 more, in case you are wondering).

Even though I have access to sophisticated data and mapping software, my clearest read on the market will always be the women I meet all over the world—the ones seeking a way to feel less lonely, make a real difference, and make a living while filling their souls.
If you’re still reading this, you get it. I see you, and I would love to connect.

Chris and I are hosting a special, live, and totally unfiltered conversation to talk about what it actually looks like to own a barre3 franchise and build a purpose-driven community. Bring your questions!

June, you were an absolute masterpiece. ✨

Three generations sharing one pole (go Grandma!), to watching Audrey conquer mountains both literally and figuratively in her cap and gown, to sharing the profound practice of Yoga Nidra with @johnvosler and dear friends, to kicking off our 18th summer at B3 with my favorite co-founder 😍, and grounding myself back in nature...

My heart is so full. June really gave us a little bit of everything. 🤍🏔️🧘‍♀️⚡️ by @sadielincoln

@sadielincoln built @barre3 into a global brand with more than 200 studios and a community spanning over 100 countries.

But there’s a story underneath it.

This week on Dear FoundHer, Sadie and I talk about the invisible truth behind Barre3: a decade-long struggle with an eating disorder she kept hidden for years.

Instead of separating it from her work, she built the company around it.

A business rooted in presence, not perfection.
Connection over performance.
Self-trust over self-criticism.

We also talk about the moment she walked away from a path that could have made her a fitness celebrity because it would have taken her further from herself, not closer.

One line from this conversation stayed with me: “We all have invisible truths that are painful.”

And that’s the part I keep returning to.

Because often, the story you’re most afraid to tell is the exact thing your work is built on.

The episode is live now.

What if you let go of a future goal this week and instead planted an intention to ✨remember✨ who you already are at your core?
Maybe it’s something like:
“I am whole and complete like the blue sky itself.”
Or, “I sense the peaceful stillness deep within me.”
Intentions can be woven into anything you do. They are universal truths for you.
Here’s one I take into my B3 practice:
“I recognize sensations in my body are the doorway to presence.”
Now close your eyes... inhale, exhale, and let gooooo.
New seeds will be planted. 🩵🤍💖 by @sadielincoln
