Do you remember what the sound of hearing your favorite song for the first time sounds like?
That’s what your voice sounds like to God.

Have you ever caught the sun going down pressed against mountains with colors filling miles of sky and your jaw just drops. Or have you ever made a piece of art you were so proud of, that you couldn’t believe you made it?
This is how God feels about you. Proud.

You’re his work of art.
You are beautiful.

His nail scarred hands carefully designed the details of you. Every color in your eyes, the smile you’ll have forever and the way you laugh. Every inch of you made in His image.

If the enemy can’t make a bad image of God, he will twist how we view his creation. The enemy doesn’t want you to know His goodness and beauty.

One more thing… The easiest way to ruin something special is by comparing it. Envy is a sin because you are uniquely beautiful and it’s a lie to compare his untarnished beauty and the work of the makers hands. To belittle what God is proud of, and what He worked on.

YOU ARE A CHILD OF THE MOST POWERFUL MOST AMAZING GOD!!!!

My little temporary town will always be Bozeman, MT

2 weeks post-grad, I packed up my bags and moved to MT for a couple months this summer and I learned so much despite it not turning out to be my home right now…

“sometimes you have to take the “wrong” path to know which one the right path is, which essentially was the right decision.”

I was told that when I asked the Lord for a word to tell me where He wants me. I was hearing nothing before I moved, but was always told sometimes you just have to jump to see! I wasn’t led to Montana, but God used it all!

My first week there, there was a sermon about Paul going to Malta - which wasn’t apart of the original plan but they were shipwrecked - Malta wasn’t the final destination, but God used paul during his time there to heal & minister for 3 months! I think montana is my malta where I could tell people about Jesus, make friends, and he certainly tested my faith and reliance on him. And throughout those (also 3) months I was there, not only did so much shift in my faith but God held my hand, abundantly blessed me, and showed me his goodness and his beauty. Amazing people, the most beautiful state and sunsets, jumping in rivers and going on hikes. I got to run around the mountains (scared half to death of bears), go to farmers markets, and live in the same state as my wonderful sister @hannahmckimm!! What a God we serve that will walk with us through all of it. Who will provide a job, food, opportunity, community. He will answer you, but sometimes He wants to show you something first. I’ve learned that He loves to show us, to walk us through what we prayed for rather than just giving it. Through experience instead of just a word, because He is that creative and so much more detailed than we give Him credit for. How much more loving and intentional is that??

And to end, after receiving that at the end of those 3 months and continuous prayer, I walked in faith and left my part time job… I went to my amazing boss (also one of the amazing people I got to meet) and He told me he had just put in his 2 weeks in 30 minutes before our conversation. don’t expect anything, and appreciate everything

I think another part of our faith we often leave behind is enjoying the blessings and sweetness from the fruits we bear. Is soaking in silence and appreciation of all the goodness in our life. And to me that is the stillness we need in life. To sit in the beauty of what is, and see all who God the father is and all of his creation. If you think his creation is beautiful, how much more is he?

The most beautiful trip caught on 2 rolls of film!

Highlight moment: perched at the summit of our Canadian hike, I sat alone, surrounded by the sound of soft waters as the river fell through the hills. Psalm 23 filling in the space of my mind. Snow-crowned mountains loomed above, their waterfalls bringing life into the land below where I sat. The air shimmered with a sacred stillness, and I, overcome with awe, felt tears rise—of gratitude to God for painting such a masterpiece for our eyes and for us to experience. What a God to love, serve and behold.

WOW what a season! I’ve had an ABUNDANCE of blessings that have come out of this photography journey, the Lord is so faithful! He has brought so much good out of this business while continuing to grow it, laying his hands on every. single. detail.

I’m so thankful for everyone following along, the sweet faces I get to meet along the way and the COOLEST things I get to do! It is the best job in the world. Each and every one of you are so special to me and apart of what this business is becoming!!

To all my clients: You are made in the image of God, beautiful and fearfully and wonderfully made. I want you to see that when you receive your gallery. To see yourself at least a little through your makers eyes.

Here’s to the slowing of the busiest season of my life, amazing clients, second shooters, friends & family supporting me from behind the scenes, and most of all our loving father!! Here’s to the really difficult and really fun and filling moments. To the reason to work hard, time and money. To the asking for grace and giving grace. For the literal sweat and tears, and prayers i’ve spent. But for the tears of joy, the fullness of my heart, ability to show every person in front of the camera how beautiful of a person they are, the glory Jesus gets, and so much freedom!

If you’ve read this far, thank you! Most of you don’t know the story behind sadiemckimphoto… truly it’s a work of God. I say with utmost confidence because it would be nothing without him. Genuinely. He planted my love for photography, travel, people and experience in me, and it’s like one day in 2022 I woke up and realized I had every resource needed. Professional friends, a passion, free training and learning at church filled with talented peers willing to help me, exact equipment magically appearing on fb marketplace at great prices, and models and mentors. It ensured me that God prepares us for good works and gives us what is for us at the right time, perfectly. by @sadiemckim
