This week’s Tenacious Tuesday feature highlights a brother who doesn’t just show tenacity — he lives by it.

Brother Sadiq Ogunfemi, a Spring 2025 initiate of the Pi Psi Chapter, is a Junior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign studying Kinesiology on the Pre-Physical Therapy track. Originally from South Holland, Illinois, he balances rigorous academics, leadership, service, and entrepreneurship with discipline and purpose.

On campus, he is active in the Shelley Ambassador Program, Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, Black Campus Ministries, the 100 Strong Mentorship Program, and the Kinesiology Student Association. Within Pi Psi, he serves as Keeper of Records and Seal and Chaplain, helping maintain the chapter’s commitment to scholarship, leadership, and service.

Brother Ogunfemi’s drive has earned him numerous honors, including the Zebralter Medical Scholarship, Moms Association Scholarship, Black Alumni Network Scholarship, Sigma Phi Epsilon Balanced Leader Scholarship, Shelley Ambassador of the Year, and recognition as the 10th District Undergraduate Keeper of Records and Seal of the Year.

Beyond the classroom, he works as an Equipment Manager for the Illinois Football Team, serves as a Resident Advisor and Front Desk Clerk, operates his personal training business (@SadiiqqFit), and shadows physical therapy clinics as he prepares for a career in healthcare.

Through demanding STEM coursework, multiple jobs, leadership, and service, Brother Ogunfemi demonstrates the perseverance required to pursue excellence.

Tenacity isn’t just what he shows.
It’s how he lives.
