As a first year empty-nester since I cannot anymore tigermom sideline coaching my daughter, @fabtennis_1 who is rocking it out with her team in Saginaw, Mi, I have decided to volunteer at the Miami Open 2026! 🎉 yaahhh Me!! This TennisMom’s 2025 Proud Recap 🎾❤️:

I couldn’t let 2025 end without finally bragging on my amazing daughter’s first semester as a college freshman. By God’s grace and with the support of family, coaches, and teammates, Fatimah came out swinging and made a huge impact on the court and academically too!
As a first-time freshman, she became a DII Regional Doubles Finalist, earning #23 National and #2 Midwest Regional doubles rankings. Quiet work. Big results.
So proud of this team and excited for what’s ahead in Spring 2026.

Freshman Move-in Mom Edition 2025 📚📦🥲
Okay okay... finally got this awesome chick off to college. No one prepares you for this moment (or any life change moments for that matter) especially when you have 1 child. Do not think it is easy; it is not easy to say Good-bye or see you later as you feel like "dayumm did I give her enough advice and info to handle what the world is about to throw on her?" To my beautiful, intelligent, athletic, impressionable daughter: you have been a Joy to raise, share your talents; watch you handle school and sports flawlessly; travel around the world; raise a cat; raise your parents; but most of all, you WERE THE BEST room-mate ever! Any school or tennis team you get on will be prized and honored to have you as a student-athlete to represent them!! Always remember what I taught you and you WILL go far! Do well and make us Proud of your successes and achievements! Love you and may Allah continue to protect and bless you. You are truly a blessing my dearest daughter... PSA: Yaasss and All Praises my baby girl is graduating! So proud and excited for her and ALL of her achievements! She loves her school and truly wanted to end her era and celebration with @icl_academy who has made her into an awesome student, leader and athlete! Help me to celebrate @fabtennis_1 as she transitions into adulthood and will be making healthy and impactful visions to our future world! 🎉 To my daughter: I may have been almost late to announce your day to the world, but I was first and on time to wish you the Happiest and most Blessed Birthday early this morning. It’s hard to believe you were just a baby, 18 years ago, and now you’ve grown into a mature, respectful, peaceful, funny, caring, resilient, and athletic young woman. Your determination and kindness inspire everyone around you, and there’s a unique strength in you that shines through in all you do—whether on the tennis court or in life.

I often call you ‘the Ravishing Phoenix,’ a name you truly embody. So much has changed from last year to now, and you’ve quickly learned that life can change in an instant. Nothing is guaranteed, but with the willpower, faith in Allah/God’s guidance, and belief that He directs, protects, and sustains your path, I know you can overcome any obstacle and rise above any challenge.

May this year bring you all the happiness and success you are destined to have and so richly deserve. I have raised you to be the most respectful yet poised young lady, and I am certain you’ll make a mark on this world that will have everyone beaming with joy and chanting your name. Happy Memorial Day to ALL the active, inactive and retired Veterans! This is truly a special day as we had a blessed homegoing for my beloved, favorite older Uncle Thomas "Tommy" Cargill Jr. He served in the Marines and was fashionable "tennis baller" on those Louisville Tennis courts and his team. He was the reason why I started playing and have the utmost love for tennis and why he ALWAYS encouraged Fatimah to continue playing. Before flying back, I had to get some good ole Repassé plate to go! Thank you to all the Family members that came to the funeral and repasse. I Love yall and appreciate all the fond memories. When I say this Angel had me in tears of happiness when she KNELT down to pray after her win, the world saw right at that moment a genuine TRUE CHAMPION!! God comes first and it showed in her final's games how she maintained her belief in winning against a very aggressive but worthy opponent! JUST a friendly reminder that for 2024, if you are an American and are holding a American Passport, and plan to travel to London or any where in the EU, then you will need $8 to fill out a visa form for traveling to EU - Europe! ✈️🚢🏰🎠🗿🗺️🇬🇧 Safe travels and learn many languages...
