The moment i saw it i knew i had to make a necklace out of it!
In absolute AWE of how it came out 🥹

it’s real personal when i’m actively speaking out for the fat community.. I can’t remember a time when i wasn’t called fat. I used to cry everytime someone would call me fat or make comments about my body. One thing that will always stick with me is when i was in fourth grade, we had picture day. I felt so cute in my outfit! It was a a black shirt with florals all over the bottom paired with my justice leggings & flats.
I remember it was my turn to get my picture, but right before one of my peers just looked at me and said “are you pregnant? why are you so fat?” and laughed in my face. That crushed me. I was so excited for my picture & ofc someone had to ruin it for me. I remember having tears in my eyes for my picture and i hated myself so much. I told my teacher about what the student said to me.. and ofc nothing was done. No one stuck up for me, comforted me. My teacher literally laughed and said “how could you be pregnant you are in the fourth grade, it’s not possible”. She didn’t ask if i was okay, didn’t correct the student. NOTHING.
Loving myself as an adult is so healing for my younger self. I never had to lose weight to love myself, i never had to lose weight in order to be respected.
I reclaimed the word fat. It literally doesn’t phase me at all… i don’t think my younger self would even be able to comprehend how much i don’t give af about what ppl think / perceive me.
Protect fat kids, love on them, build them up!
Sorry to get sappy on this app, it’s only right that i do tho.
I love all my fellow fat peeps <333
Keep on going & never let anyone make you feel less than for the shell you live in. You’re so much more than what meets the eye.
