Sports in Kansas Volleyball Player to Watch: Saelyn Raleigh, Little River, Sr. OH

Saelyn Raleigh enters her senior season as one of the most accomplished volleyball players in Kansas after helping Little River capture three consecutive Class 1A Division I state championships. The 5-foot-10 outside hitter earned First Team All-State and First Team State All-Tournament Team honors in 2025 after leading Little River to a 43-2 record and another state title. Raleigh finished her junior season with 361 kills, 199 digs, 66 aces and 55 blocks, giving her career totals of 706 kills, 387 digs and 154 blocks entering her final high school campaign. A standout multi-sport athlete, she has also been a key contributor to three state runner-up or championship basketball teams, including a Class 1A Division I state title in 2026.

Despite graduating key players, Raleigh is excited for the opportunity to lead a younger team and continue Little River’s tradition of success. “I’m excited to compete one last time with this team and my friends during my senior season,” Raleigh said. “Even though we’re a younger team and everything will be different this year, I think that’s what makes it special. We get to grow together, build something of our own, and prove what we’re capable of. I can’t wait to see where this season takes us.” #sportsinkansas

SIK Pre-Season Player to Watch: Saelyn Raleigh, a 5’9” outside and middle hitter from Little River’s Class of 2027, is a standout multi-sport athlete. On the volleyball court, Raleigh was a force for a 39-6 squad in 2024, totaling 324 kills, 176 digs, 83 blocks, and 33 aces with a .224 hitting percentage. She earned 2nd Team All-State honors and was named to the All-State Tournament Team as a sophomore. She also plays key roles on Little River’s basketball and track teams. She was a SIK All-State pick in basketball this past winter and helped her team to back-to-back 1A State Runner-Up finishes. In track, she’s a state medalist in the 4x100 and 4x400. Raleigh is ready for her junior volleyball season, saying, “I can’t wait for this season and to step back on the court with my best friends. This group of girls has some of the best chemistry on and off the court. With the target on our backs getting bigger it only makes me want that title more than ever. I am excited for what this season will bring us.” #sportsinkansas
