I’ve been obsessed with these handmade leather journals that fit multiple journals in them for ages now but they’ve always been out of my budget. I discovered @vagabondnotebook scrolling through Instagram reels one day before I even realized I would be visiting Paris and have been following his journey ever since. I’m so grateful timing worked out and I was able to pick up two handmade journals from him as he set up a picnic in the park and laid out his journals and charms for us all to choose from. His handiwork is phenomenal and it was a privilege to be around such a creative person. Participating in his strangers postcard project is so cool and I’m looking forward to the response I get. I think it’s such a good idea that he uses his platform to connect his fans to one another through their own story. You never know how many people can relate to what you have going on, no matter where you are in the world. Don’t let social media be your only archive of your life. There’s something special about holding your memories in your hands instead of scrolling past them on a screen. That’s why I love junk journaling—it gives my favorite moments a home that doesn’t depend on an app or an algorithm. Photos, receipts, tickets, little notes… they all become part of my story I can come back to anytime. Some memories deserve more than a post—they deserve a place to live especially in your heart.
