1. Entrepreneurship does NOT suit EVERYONE.

The current trend of influencers encouraging everyone to become business owners can be misleading at best and unethical at worst.

Many find a better fit (e.g., within a company or under effective leadership)

I used to think entrepreneurship was for everyone who 'wanted it bad enough'.

I couldn't have been more immature.

2. One-off Influencer Campaigns Won't Last

As more and more brands invest in influencer marketing (a near 20x market increase in under a decade), influencers who accept one-time endorsements will begin to lose audience trust and either die out or switch strategy.

Only long-lasting, authentic relationships between both brand and influencer will hold the most potent strategic power.

3. Content marketing's traditional landscape is evolving.

AI is rapidly generating copious amounts of content in minutes.

What's increasingly vital today is having a distinctive Point of View and effectively amplifying it. Think Polarity

Mass production will lead to consumer burnout. Tailor your content.

Think about marketing like your personal bank account

Let me explain.

We have two main accounts: Checking and Savings

Checking Account: Required for daily purchases, groceries, gas, food, rent, memberships, etc.

Savings Account (or investment account): Required for the long term. This is where ‘compound interest’ and the benefits of time come to play. The longer you save your $, the more it compounds with time.

Marketing is the exact same thing, it can be separated into two “accounts” or sectors.

“Checking account” marketing is what we know as pay for play advertising, performance marketing, or quick conversions style marketing.

“Savings account” marketing is where social media, content marketing, and PR hang out. This is higher performance and deeply effective. But it requires patience/time (what most people aren’t willing to give).

What I see nowadays, is many companies running their marketing via “checking account” style. They focus on quick “ROI” with little to no focus on the compound interest “savings account”.

Smart, large-scale companies are doing the exact opposite.

Those willing to put in the work over time will reap the results.

The winner a decade from now?

let’s wait and see.
