Mural Celebration, Limited Edition Print & Merch Release & Brunch Party this weekend!

A Soft Place to Land, a series of events for the 10th edition of @seattleartfair, hosted at @populushotel_seattle.

This summer, @sew_trill finished the largest work of her career on the Occidental Promenade, a permanent mural just steps from Populus & Seattle Art Fair where she was one of the hotel’s original artists in residence. So for art fair weekend, we are gathering around it, over art, food, and music. 🍳🥑🎶🥳

Saturday, July 25
Mural at noon on the Occidental Promenade, then the Art & Music Room from 1 to 6 PM for a limited edition print release, signing, and merch pop-up.

Sunday, July 26
Brunch at @saltharvest_seattle , 10 AM to 2 PM, with @sew_trill and @theartofalbaseer , sounds by @saffroniaa and @stastheeboss .

RSVP required for brunch, and your reservation includes two limited edition mini prints from the artists.

The most valuable lesson of my 20’s-
Not conflating my capacity for love with my ability to endure.

Practicing this in my 30s has required me to rewire my brain into understanding that soft experiences actually provide me a more stable and safe place to grow.

My love has expanded. I give it space to be still, and stretch and ween when necessary. My love is all over me now. It is before morning and when dust settles. My love holds the complexity of harm and of forgiveness but most importantly accountability.

My love brought me and my dad together after 27 years.

My love has allowed me to understand my mama.

My love lets me pour into the babies I’m committed to.

My love lets me explore softness not as a place to land but a space of being. by @saffroniaa
