A love message to road trips.

Safi Tour 2026 has come to an end. 19 cities. 12 countries. 25,000 km. Our dear Volvo 245 took us from one corner of Europe to another. Laptop hours from extremely random places. Local hotels and humans with charm in Poland, Italy and everywhere in between. Friends opening their homes to us. Packing, unpacking and packing again.

Plenty of questionable highway sandwiches on the go. Just as many delicious traditional meals and pub nights in the best company.

And a few parking misbehaviours along the way. Most of them were for a good reason, but our apologies to the local authorities for the handful of fines that came with them.

A lot of roads, a lot of places, a lot of people and a lot of life lived out of a bag.

We love every bit of it.

Those who’ve been on the road for long enough will understand.

At times, the best riding is at your doorstep and in the elements.
Most of Javi’s riding happens within his home region, often alone. The days of discovering new roads will come again. For now, efficiency comes first. Even the post-ride fuel-up. No time to waste.
