I learned to fall in love with you this year. I’ve learned to embrace compliments without needing to name something negative about myself. I’ve learned to say “no thank you” and trust my discernment. I’ve learned to heal without apologies. I’ve learned to linger a little longer in spaces that feed me and spend less time in those that drain me. I’ve learned to walk toward my calling and away from my flesh. I’ve learned to forgive myself for everything and anything. I’ve learned to dance like no one’s watching. I’ve learned to laugh at my jokes because I’m my biggest supporter. I’ve learned that I can love deeper than I thought. I’ve learned to cry and say I’m not okay. I’ve learned to look for light in dark corners. I’ve learned to lean on my tribe and my support systems. I’ve prayed like I never have before. I’ve healed. I’ve apologized. I’ve forgiven. I’ve released! I’ve surrendered! I’ve jumped! But most importantly, I’ve learned to do it scared because God’s got me! I can’t wait to see what God does! My best days are ahead of me!
