I remember in my first year of coaching, playing football in the off-season with some friends at the local pitch. I spotted a young boy and his little brother in the park and thought, “Wow, look at these two ballers. Let me bring them down to my place of work.”

Fast forward three years...
Both of them exceeded every expectation and made a massive statement from the moment they arrived.

Today, it's onto a new journey 📝

MEET MARTINS LAWAL.

The Great Wall of Nigeria & Bulgaria 🇳🇬🇧🇬💪
What a player he is on his day!
Aka The Stubborn Lil Brother.

Everyone sees the highlights, the success, and the smiles, but very few saw the dark days. They didn’t see the setbacks, the release from a club, the trials at other clubs, or the uncertainty about what came next.

There came a point when Martins and I had an honest conversation—not just about football, but about life. We set a new challenge: adapt, grow, and understand that if you don’t work hard, someone else will take the opportunity you’re leaving behind.

From that day, everything changed. He started pushing himself harder, taking every training session seriously, and committing to becoming the best version of himself.

Now, that dedication has paid off with a scholarship earned through nothing but hard work, discipline, and determination.

I’m incredibly proud of this young man. His journey is proof that setbacks don’t define you—your response to them does.

Martins Lawal is definitely one for the future and without a doubt, one to watch.

The journey is only just beginning. Keep working, keep believing, and keep inspiring. by @saflife__

Don’t really post much, so a lot of people still probably can’t put a face to the name—but the documentation is starting…

Behind every achievement is a team of individuals putting in countless unseen hours, effort, and dedication. What people see on the pitch is only a small part of the journey.

Watching these boys grow year after year, many of them starting at just 5 or 6 years old, has been one of the most rewarding parts of being a coach.

We started with nothing but passion, motivation, and a love for the game. What began as fun has developed into real talent that continues to earn praise time and time again.

Talent isn’t built overnight. It takes patience, consistency, support, and belief. Seeing that hard work finally click and watching these young players discover their confidence and ability makes every moment behind the scenes worthwhile.

I’m proud to play a part in their journey, and if I’m honest, I’m a fan of what they’re becoming. The future is bright, and this is only the beginning.

MEET KAVARNI BRISSETT-LEVY.

The story speaks for itself.

This young man is an absolute beast and a true student of the game. No matter what position he’s asked to play, he always finds a way to make things happen.

He leads by example, puts the team first, and is always willing to learn and improve.

I remember having a conversation with him when he had doubts about moving on and earning a scholarship. I told him to keep enjoying the game, trust the work he’s put in, and let his talent speak for itself. A few days later, he called me with the news that he’d made his decision—and I wasn’t surprised one bit.

He went on to have a great introduction to his first year, and now, as he works toward his second, he continues to grow, develop, and raise his level every day.

Proud of your journey so far, little brother. Keep working, stay hungry, and keep proving people wrong. Definitely one to watch. by @saflife__

MEET FIKAYOMI ADESANYA.

Where do I even start...
This young man is relentless. The amount of trials and tribulations he’s faced throughout this journey would have made many people quit, but he never gave up. He had his doubts, but he kept pushing—and now he’s secured himself a scholarship. Proud is an understatement.

I’m grateful to have been part of his journey, watching him grow from a young boy into a young man, and to have played a role in helping him develop both spiritually and mentally into the player and person he’s becoming.

This is only the beginning. Definitely one to watch.

Congratulations, little brother. Your hard work, sacrifice, and dedication have paid off, and there’s so much more to come.

It’s more than just coaching sport.

It’s appreciation, awareness, and personal development & character building. It’s a place where you can be yourself, discover who you are, and grow through both the highs and the lows.

Not every day will be sunshine and rainbows, but if you keep showing up and believing in yourself, you’ve already won. Not everyone can do that but I know you can make it happen so keep going.. C’3ST la vie

Part-time coach as well as partner on and off the training fields ,a full-time maestro on both wings!

Quite the player he’s got a powerful burst of speed and an insatiable hunger for both assists and goals.
