Today is my 27th Birthday; Happy Birthday to me. 🥂🎊

September 24th 🥰🤎. My favorite day and month of the year!! The day my Father chose to bring me into this world; I love so many things about September, about the Fall. ✨

This year had been full of blessings and endurance. 🤎 I became a Certificate Fashion Stylist in May, but having been a Stylist since I was 3. I created my Digital Portfolio, not only on Instagram, but a website, which is linked in my bio. 🫡🤎 Since July I’ve been writing; I’ve completed Book 1 and Book 2 and they are currently in their last stage of revision. I’ll be starting Book 3 soon and I’m . . very excited. 🥹🤎 I’ve always been writer and I made a Promise, THE Promise, to my Father and I wondered when I’d write again. 🥰 You guys haven’t seen me much and that’s why.

In the last year, my Father has taught me discipline, consistency, and I’m learning obedience. 🤎 I’m excited for the day you’ll meet her. The woman I’ve been writing, I’ve known her my whole life and one day, you’ll know her too. 🤎

It’s been a bold year, and it hasn’t been easy.

I’ve started writing again. My Father called to not only write, but complete these books. 😭🤎 I dragged it out for as long as I could, but Father . . put his foot down. The first and second boom are complete.

In my down time, I’ve been thinking about doing poetry again. THAT I can share with you guys now. 🥰🤎 I’ve been taking prompts from @chloe_carterr and I’m excited to see what I birth for there. 🥹

I love who I am, who I’m consistently growing into you. That older, self-assured, confident, version of myself. The woman I was internally as a child. She is my future and my beginning. Now, I’m understanding her and learning how to walk as her as a woman. 🥹🤎

I’ve been a little hard on myself about it. I’ve always been authentically me, I love that about myself; I love who God has created me to be, but I haven’t always been LOUD about it. As loud as I should’ve been. As loud as my Father has called me to be.

Congratulations to me. 🍾🎊 I’m officially a Certified Fashion Stylist.✨🥰

Within the past couple of weeks, I completed my Fashion Styling Certification with FIT. I’ve been working on this for the past year and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. 🥹🤎

I’ve studied Visual Communications at FIDM, the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, now known as FIDM ASU. I majored in Photography and minored in Psychology at UC Denver, where I was apart of a beautiful photography community. Now, years later, after getting accepted to FIT High School, but being unable to attend because I moved from my hometown, the Bronx, NYC, to Nevada, I have finally come home and lived the dream I had for a while. 🤎

Thank you, FIT. Thank you, Yellowbrick. Thank you, Sadie Seymour, for explaining everything so clearly. Thank you, Andrea Fairweather, for reminding me of home and being unapologetically you, I loved you the most. Thank you, Matthew Marden and Stephen Cucci, the last words you and Andrea uttered were beautiful, encouraging, and honest.👏🏼 I want to say THANK YOU to My Father because he told me this was an Era of “yes” for me and I’d be achieving everything I set out to. 🤎✨ My Father has held me up and I’m genuinely grateful. I know the best is still ahead. 🤎 Thank you, to the mentors and teachers at FIT, who gave me new tools and a stronger confidence in MY art and MY voice because my light and my sight is necessary and I am needed. 🤎 The industry needs different, not more of the same, and I am the change. 🤎✨👏🏼
