A couple weeks ago I had my last track meet, and it was the best ending I could have asked for. I got to race in Arlington surrounded by all my family and friends. And I scored for the first time in my college career. Whats just a small piece of paper to many people, to me it represents 10 years of hard work, teammates who helped push me, coaches who believed in me more than I believed in myself, a supportive family and a God who’s plans were SO much better than mine. God has used this sport to teach me so much, and I am so thankful he’s carried me through it because everything I have ever achieved has been all because of him.

My 4 years at tarleton have been the best years of my life. I’ve made memories I get to cherish forever. One of my old coaches used to tell us that we’ll know our college career was successful if we leave here a better person than we came. And even though I’ve had to work through some hard transitions and obstacles, I know that I’m leaving Tarleton a better person and athlete than I came, and I am forever greatful for the people here that have contributed to that. by @sage.renee
