I am beyond excited to announce I am running for this year’s DELTA QUEEN! We are raising money to support Type 1 Diabetes! Working alongside my fellow contestants we have a goal we are trying to reach and any donation is greatly appreciated❤️

If you want to know more about why I am supporting this cause read below!

My name is Sage Rumney. I am a sophomore at Chapman University, Majoring in Dance with a Minor in Women’s and Gender Studies! I am so excited to be representing Alpha Phi in the 2026 Delta Queen Pageant.
For Greek life, I enjoy participating many philanthropy events to raise money for the different organizations we support here on campus! I take pride in sharing my love for dance within all of these different spaces as well as maintaining and creating safe and positive environments to create a community and bring others together. I am proud to call New Orleans, LA home! A place filled with rich culture, art, and community. If home has taught me anything, it has pushed me to become very passionate in giving back to the communities that serve me. I am so honored to help support Breakthrough T1D’s strong mission to better the lives of those living with Type 1 diabetes and help raise awareness for better research and prevention.
I’m counting on your help to reach or fundraising goals for this year! No donation is too small, and every dollar truly makes a difference. I am so grateful for the Greek life community for providing opportunities to continue to give back in any way I can.

What is type 1 diabetes (T1D):
T1D is a chronic autoimmune condition in which the pancreas stops producing insulin, an essential hormone that helps the body turn food into energy. I am so incredibly grateful to have had this opportunity to perform with the NYCDA College Scholarship Recipients at the Joyce Theatre!! This was such an amazing group of people!
