Life is the most riveting adventure. Like any good adventure sometimes there are setbacks, moments our faith is stretched thin, suspense and even a bit of danger.
Yet, there are also moments that surprise you in the most magical ways.

I'm learning how to embrace them all while still leaning in to the adventure of it.
Unknown roads can lead to lessons you will never forget and encounters you never knew you needed. They can also lead to tunnels from history (literally and figuratively) that show you how far you have come.

The road has taught me, no matter what you encounter, keep rolling...

I was blessed to visit Tennessee over the weekend. I stopped by to see a dear friend on my way back and was so glad I did.

It has been said that gold is in the mountains and I found that to be true. I think I found a few alchemists as well.
As I sat there and listened to the stories and felt the beautiful family vibes around me I was blown away. What they had created was nothing short of miraculous.

Here up on the mountain they have made their own heaven on Earth. It was incredible to witness.

I wrote these lyrics in January of 2025 in the mountains of North Carolina. I was inspired to revisit them. They seemed to fit the moment. So thankful to experience all of it.

I've been going through old music footage to archive it on YouTube and came across this clip. I loved the energy so much and the words hit me. I hadn't really heard them the same before. Funny how music works like that. Seems to find you when you need it. 🙏🎶

(not the greatest footage but still happy to have it. One of those times I wish I had my canera)...

On a side note, I was raised in the church (actually I was pickled in it). I have been to about every type of church known to man.

I've also been to and photographed more concerts than I can count. Both secular and Christian.

This was an experience that collided the two like I have never seen.

There is something special here. Thankful to experience it. 🙏

I was thrilled to see the snow here in South Carolina! 🌴❄️ It felt like an old friend came to visit. I forgot how much I loved it!
Who would have thought my daughter's first time sledding would be here!?!?
I'm so thankful to have the memory with her! 🥰🩵❄️

Day 76 🕊🌹

There are some things you can't put into words. You must experience. It's one thing to give another the details but they cant feel the energy, the feeling and the essence.

I took my daughter knowing she might not be able to process all of it. Yet, I knew she would feel it and remember the feeling.

We live in a world that can be cold, cruel, unloving and unkind.
It's hard to find peace and safe people and places.
We get ourselves tied to that energy and it's hard to break loose.

Since the monks came through, I feel like their presence and safety gave so many an opportunity to reset and find peace within once again, and taught us how to maintain it, myself included.

In the end, they handed out a yarn bracelet to be tied up with peace and walk with them (in Spirit) to D.C. and beyond. The bracelet is also a constant reminder of the path and practice of peace.
For peace isn't a destination, it's something we manifest and practice daily.

I have really been trying to wrap my mind around what it was about them. Yet, one thing I have concluded is they don't just talk about peace or pray for peace, they become manifestations of it, a walking, talking example.
You don't see that too often. You could feel it off of them.
Their very presence brought you peace.

My desire is that we take what we have learned and follow their example.

I'm beyond grateful for what has been rekindled. The flowers represent the peace that has bloomed in the hearts of the people.
It's incredible to look out and see (and feel) so many bouquets and know I am not alone on my journey of peace.

On a side note, twice my daughter and I looked out and saw our neighbors. Among the many people, that in itself is miraculous. Thankful for the path of peace that connects us.

This last week and weekend is one that I will never forget.
There are times where an experience or person can change your life. I feel like I had such an encounter.
I'm still sitting with all of it.

Who would have thought that a group of quiet, meek, and gentle monks could move and shake us so powerfully.

Yet, not with a demanding or loud power, but with a stillness, humility and a peaceful power. Simply by showing compassion and caring enough to share what they have achieved and learned with us.
Speaking life to our dry cities, towns, and souls.

It's all remarkable.

I feel beyond honored and grateful I was able to experience it. 🙏🕊🌞
