And just like that, my very first Contact in the Desert has drawn to a close. What an unparalleled experience. We rode into town in a car covered with dust from Area 51 (pictures of that to come), and we spent our final moments under the stars with Dr. Simeon Hein discussing the manifold mysteries of high strangeness. I rubbed elbows with the legends of the field, met people whose work I’ve admired since I was a child, and made connections that I hope will blossom into lifelong collaborations and friendships. Huge shoutout to Captain Ron and everyone else who make this event possible (and for the awesome Beyond Contact shirt, thanks Ron🤘🏻), creating an important space where information can be shared and community can be cultivated. There’s truly nothing like it in the world.👽🛸 taken in CONTACT in the DESERT by @sageas

Four centuries of this damned immortality
Yet I did not ask to be made. Why?
I will never again know your sun upon my face
Or the comfort of a grave
I am not alive and I am not dead
This is Hell on Earth

“Two lovers entwined pass me by
And heaven knows I’m miserable now
I was looking for a job and then I found a job
And heaven knows I’m miserable now

In my life, oh, why do I give valuable time
To people who don’t care
If I live or I die?” taken in The Psych Ward by @sageas
