Aswatna Showcase — London

On August 22, we gather in the courtyard of Studio 12 for an evening celebrating Palestinian music, art, storytelling, and community.

The showcase will feature an exhibition by acclaimed Palestinian artist Malak Mattar, who will be present throughout the evening to discuss her work and meet guests.

The live music programme brings together four distinct Palestinian voices:

Yousef Mattar, a pianist blending Arabic musical traditions with contemporary influences.

Rawan Roshni, reimagining Palestinian musical heritage through voice, live looping, and instrumentation.

Marwan Halabi, weaving Middle Eastern maqams, Indian ragas, blues, and alternative rock.

SAIFAMEE, transforming lived experience into honest and deeply personal underground hip-hop.

Alongside the performances and exhibition, @maqambooks will be joining us with a selection of books, together with Palestinian food vendors and independent stalls.

Come discover, connect with, and celebrate Palestinian artists shaping new cultural narratives across music and visual art.
