The injured bird collapses onto the street, struggling to move, while a crowd quickly gathers around. Instead of helping the wounded animal, moving it to safety, or contacting wildlife rescue authorities, several individuals begin plucking feathers directly from the peacock’s tail as it lies helpless on the ground.

The video ends with people holding the forcibly removed feathers, while the injured bird remains surrounded by bystanders. The incident has sparked outrage online, raising serious concerns about public empathy, wildlife protection, and the treatment of vulnerable animals during moments of distress.

The peacock is not only a protected species but also India’s national bird, a symbol of beauty, grace, and nature itself. No living creature deserves to suffer this way.

Every intellectual is so keen to criticize and f around with Indian culture and history, even after having such a noble culture. We were forward in everything, but the invasions literally made us stick to the floor of a well. And I understand we weren't perfect as well, but the people back then were problematic, not the culture itself, isn't it?

Patriarchy? Whole Hinduism is based on the depiction of Shakti, which means Maa Parvati [Maa Durga]. Even the creator, Lord Vishnu, should possess energy [Shakti].

Casteism? I would pray for the destruction of casteists. It was never based on birth. Eg = Ravan's mother was an Asura, and his father was a Brahman. So fight the problems, don't cancel it completely in the bait of some left-hand shit [iykyk].

Mumbai’s biggest railway anti-encroachment drive turned violent in Bandra East after demolition teams razed two mosques and several structures built on railway land. Protesters clashed with police, stone pelting broke out, and authorities responded with a lathi charge. Multiple police personnel and residents were injured during the chaos.

The operation, led by Western Railway, aims to clear nearly 5,200 square metres of encroached land near Bandra station for the proposed Integrated Bandra Railway Complex project. While officials say the drive is necessary and planned with “humanitarian considerations,” many residents allege excessive force and fear losing their homes overnight.

Seven people have reportedly been detained in connection with the violence.

More recently, on May 12–13, 2026, Udhayanidhi Stalin reiterated his stance in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, again stating that ‘Sanatana Dharma must be abolished/eradicated,’ claiming it divides people and opposes equality.
