P6 at the World Championships once again

Ik zou graag WK medailles willen collecteren in plaats van 6e plaatsen (4e keer). In een sport als zeilen, waar niet alles te controleren valt, zijn er altijd weer die “lessen” waar je van kunt leren. Mijn eerste reactie is f*ck die lessen, ik wil gewoon winnen en ik baal ervan dat ik naast het podium sta. Maar er gaan ook veel dingen heel goed, resultaten die jullie zien, maar ook punten in het proces wat niet direct leidt tot zichtbare resultaten.
Afgelopen week heb ik alles gegeven, fysiek en mentaal. De lach die jullie zien is er vaak, soms afgewisseld met een hele kritische blik 🙃 en gister waren er ook tranen.
Ik geloof in dit proces, ik geniet van de strijd en ook al ben ik nu heel teleurgesteld en verdrietig ik ga toch maar weer goed naar die lessen kijken.

Nog 2 jaar te gaan 🫡
