Watching the latest @parlayrevival_colin series brings back some tough memories!!
We went through a serious blister situation and rudder re-glass in 2021 on our Hunter 30.

Cracked, not broken... ⛵
Beneteau friends, our in-mast furler gear needs replacing. Our unit is no longer made so a bigger one requires making the hole in the mast slightly bigger at the bottom .
Anyone had to go through this process? Any advice?

Winter sailors: Don't let Jack Frost crack your fresh water anchor wash down pump! ☃️⛵
Quick winterizing tip: use a small shopvac to blow air out the thru hull, disconnect the pump intake hose, dip it in non-toxic pink antifreeze (-50°F rated), and run the pump until pink flows through.
Protect lines, pump & fixtures from freeze damage!

⚓️ Winterizing Your Sailboat's Freshwater System: Don't Skip This Step! 🥶
If your boat is coming out of the water or staying put in freezing temperatures, protecting your freshwater system is crucial! A burst pipe or cracked tank from ice expansion means a ruined season before it even starts.
Here's a quick checklist of the essentials we just finished:
* Drain Everything: Open all faucets, showerheads, and drain plugs (if you have them) to get as much water out of the tanks and lines as possible. Don't forget the water heater/calorifier! Bypass it and drain it separately.
* Introduce Antifreeze: We ran non-toxic RV/marine plumbing antifreeze through all the lines, including the pumps, by filling a small amount into the empty tank (or siphoning directly from the bottle). Keep running the faucets until you see that distinct pink/red color!
* Toilet/Head System: Pump antifreeze through your head, too! This protects the toilet pump and holding tank plumbing.

A little preventative maintenance now saves a massive headache (and expense!) later. Protect your investment!
