hard to put this one into words, folks. Journeyed Out There with @hiromimusic and @genecoyedrums and found the love all around me with @jacobcollier. Even did what I wanted with @mei_semones, and followed @schroeder_headz✨ For those who don't know me, I'm Alice. I'm an intersex artist who paints self portraits using higher consciousness as a way of exploring concepts of self, identity, light, the fundamental underpinnings of the universe, quantum physics, and consciousness. I often make my own paints and art materials by hand. "Self Fractured #4" - acryla gouache, oil pastel, aerosol triple psuedohologram painting / sculpture. Future state: mounted exploded apart with neon brush strokes of light that you walk into the center of, with the paintings all around you #selfportrait #artiststudio #neon #gouache by @sailor.seashell

"Yes! Ramen!! W/ Hiromi's Sonicwonder @ Kuumbwa Jazz" - 10"x20" - mixed media UNDER UV There is honestly no real way for these colors to come across the digital space quite like seeing it in person, just like it is to see Hiromi, Gene, Adam, and Hadrien perform live! It was so fun to draw this music in the front row and paint it later! It was a very special memory that I won't ever forget. #synesthesia #music #jazzmusic taken in Kuumbwa Jazz Santa Cruz by @sailor.seashell

GALA GALACTOSE IS NOW STREAMING EVERYWHETRE! Go give it a listen, it's hella groovy!! Shout out again to @genecoyedrums for inspiring this whole series of paintings, and shout out to @chappymilkshake, @codyandsoul, and @guy_azoulay_ for being such fun collaborators. It's been a pleasure painting your tunes!! #jazzmusic #synesthesia #music by @sailor.seashell

"Yes! Ramen!! at Kuumbwa Jazz" - 20" x10" - mixed media on 300gsm cotton paper, including custom fluorescent blue paint handmade by me This is the next installment of the "Music" series! It's another piece based on the musical stylings of: @hiromimusic @genecoyedrums @adamofarrillmusic @hadrienferaud The bowl art is a nod to the originating album art for "Out There" which was painted by the legendary @420characters! It's not an exact dupe, but hopefully I did the original album art some justice on this bowl! I got some amazing footage of the process of this painting, and I'm planning and shooting a painting music video. Next to look out for: photos of this painting under UV light 😎 #originalpainting #synesthesia #music taken in Kuumbwa Jazz Center by @sailor.seashell

🌍 EARTH ANGELS EP OUT TOMORROW ON EARTH DAY 🌍 I'm naming this painting "Earth Angels", after the EP! "Earth Angels" - synesthetic multimedia gouache painting on 300 gsm cotton cold press paper mounted on wood panel, 32"*32" thanks again to Caroline (Citizens Jazz) for letting me experience the sound and color on these unreleased EP tracks and thanks even more for deciding to use the painting as the album cover! This was my first album cover project and I'm excited to do many more and build up this body of work. also shout out to my dear friend @rose_nylons for helping manage an adhesive crisis and just in general being an earth angel 😇 🌍 I used a lot of custom fluorescent paints on this one. Check the last slide if you wanna see it in black light 👀 Y'all, I cannot recommend having synesthesia enough - it is a lot of fun 🎨😋 #synesthesia #synesthesiaart #albumcover by @sailor.seashell

"Gene Coye, Drum Solo on 'Up' w/ Hiromi's Sonicwonder - Blue Note Hawaii" — acrylic gouache and oil pastel on 300gsm cotton paper, 9 panel ensemble. This piece is one of my favorites so far - a synesthesia painting of @genecoyedrums's solo at @bluenotehawaii @hiromimusic's Sonicwonder band. It was a pleasure to meet Gene and to paint his music!! No process video on this one, I was just way too in the zone to think about setting it all up. Music is something that is a continual inspiration to me in my practice. I'm looking forward to possibly doing a series of these abstract synesthesia paintings in the future. Thinking about making a limited series of signed prints available of this piece in the future, so let me know if that interests you. #gouache #sculpturalpainting #synesthesiaart #jazzart taken in Conrad Prebys Concert Hall by @sailor.seashell

"If you take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland - and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes" – Morpheus "Rabbit Hole" - digital self portrait using pixel sorting. will be available as a limited edition print. If you're interested comment "print" and I'll DM you when it's available for purchase Rabbit Hole is a self-portrait that considers the self as something constantly shifting – shaped by identity, history, and perception. The work brings deconstructive digital process and symbolic artifacts to explore how the self is constructed, deconstructed, disrupted, reconstructed and seen by outside observers. Framed by a pink triangle - a powerful shape with both personal and historical significance references both its history as a violent symbol but also it's reclaimation as a symbol of expression and resistance. It functions as a threshold, framing the body in the image within the symbol's lineage of queer survival, visibility, and self determination. In this piece, I use pixel sorting to fracture my form into bands of shifting color and digital noise, revealing a self that is mutable, and shifting. Electric blue and synthetic pink pixels dance across the surface, drawing my body into the visual language of digital displays while echoing the resonance of the pink triangle. The title, Rabbit Hole, points toward cultural narratives of descent and altered perception – from the curious plunge of Alice in Wonderland to the dizzying digital awakenings of identity in The Matrix – nodding to my name while positioning the work within the broader pop-cultural imagination. In this portrait, I hold my self in motion and liminality. Vivid and fragmented yet still whole. Still me. Continuously becoming. Refracted, and reemerging – a journey through identity that is always flowing. #selfportrait #pixelsorting #digitalart #identity by @sailor.seashell

missing my old sunny studio, my friends, and the art I made there. Tomorrow is my birthday, and this pride season is feeling extra lonesome being in a new place. Better times are coming. You can bet on it. got some more art coming down the pipeline soon with collabs with @chappymilkshake and others. Let's just say things might get a little holographic in the future. A little... higher dimensional if you will. 🙂‍↕️✨ 💫 Here's a POV shot of my in my old studio at golden hour. It was the most meaningful place I've ever made art, even though my days there were numbered and I never let myself feel fully at home there, knowing I would be leaving in the future. Gonna romanticize myself and my old studio a bit. I'll be 33 so I'm allowed to! It was a beautiful mess. #artist #studio by @sailor.seashell
