Mmkay. Another Winter practise clip heading your way. This is the only part of the tune I don't really mess around with too much. My improvisations on some of the other sections seem to piss certain people off.. and I love it

More traumerei. At one point I would update my scores to reflect the way that I'd started to play the arrangements, but at this point I don't bother because I always end up changing them in the moment. Side effect of hanging out with jazzers I guess.

More heinie kleinie. This part can be described as "almost in tune". It's been a while since I performed this anywhere

I heard this song on the radio driving home from school one Winter night and it just enchanted me. This was right after I'd built my 5 string violia so I was eager to learn new rep to show off the extended range. This is probably the first piece I'd learned that really used the full register. Anyways here's an excerpt from the middle of it that's still hard to play 2.5 years later.

This is for sure the one piece of music that has made me the most money over any other. And it got me over my horrendous stage fright when I first started busking with it during covid. It's so overplayed but I can't hate on the eine kleine

You hear about Poland a lot on social media these days and I think it's cause POLAND IS THE BEST COUNTRY RAAAHHH. Anyways, this is an arrangement of a patriotic tune I did when I was 16 or so. If you recognize this it probably means you're a G

This beginning part is simplified considerably compared to the original celeste part. Playing all those 32nd notes would be more work than I want to give myself honestly.. but sometimes simpler is also better. I think it's more fun to shred for a moment than stress about 32nd note arpeggios.

Playing around some more with my arrangement of nutcracker themes. It came out a bit heavier than I like this time, but I was also really hungry when I recorded this. Needed a snickers

this is one of the first piano pieces I ever transcribed for violin. still play it pretty often, although looking at the score I realize that what I tend to play has started to stray pretty far from what I actually wrote. As usual.

just a teeny bit of ornamentation on a cocktail hour classic. The sheet music is almost correct. It tends to be a bit different every time
