Watch me build a whole world in under a minute 🤎 This is what setting up at @thefrenchmarketmarin 🇫🇷 actually looks like, start to finish — every table, every shelf, hundreds of pieces, from an empty patch of pavement to a full booth.

One thing I left out of the voiceover: everything in this video is heavy. Every ladder, every crate, every box of dishes — I carry it all myself, and I’m not going to pretend that doesn’t make me feel pretty strong 💪🦇

A full market day, start to finish 🤎 The drive out, the unload, and then — my favorite part every single time — watching an empty stretch of pavement turn into a whole little shop in under two hours.

And can we talk about my stall neighbors for a second? I get so inspired by all my fellow vendors, how they set up their booths, their merchandise, their attitudes, but Ono this market day my neighbor was a blacksmith! Gave a really fun and dare I say dangerous edge to the whole market day :)

Every market day looks a little different, but it always ends the same way: tired, dusty, and completely happy about it ✨

booth secrets, unearthed 🗝️ 7 small things that make a real difference when you’re building a booth people want to wander into. swipe through 🤎

1️⃣ Vintage shelving. Old ladders, old planks — that’s my whole shelving system. It packs down flat and looks beautifully rustic the second it’s up.

2️⃣ Keep it not precious. So many vintage booths feel like a museum, and I never wanted that. If something feels too precious to touch, people can’t relax into shopping — and they can’t picture it in their own home either. I want people to feel free to explore.

3️⃣ Baskets aren’t just for sale — they’re for display too. I sell a lot of them, so I use them to hold merchandise as well. It gives people ideas for their own space and keeps that rustic, gathered feeling going.

4️⃣ Don’t forget to look up. Overhead space is some of the most special real estate in the booth — artwork, hanging merch, or a cascade of dried flowers. It’s what makes a booth feel like a real, cared-for shop instead of just a table of stuff.

5️⃣ Abundance, always. When I have time, I love making something seasonal — for sale, or just a little freebie. An abundant booth feels generous and warm, and tying in the season makes the whole experience feel like a celebration.

6️⃣ Build in levels. Old apple boxes and crates become shelving and vignettes I can rearrange depending on what I’m selling. Levels mean there’s always something new to notice, whether you’re looking up, down, or all around.

7️⃣ Go high, go visible. S-hooks have been one of my favorite additions — baskets hung up high are easy to sort through, and they’re visible from outside the booth too, so people get a feel for my aesthetic before they’ve even stepped in.

This Sunday I’m doing something I’ve never done before — setting up at the Petaluma Fall Antique Faire for the first time 🤎 This is the fair’s 40th year, and it takes over downtown Petaluma with 200+ dealers and thousands of collectors coming through for the day. Being part of something with that kind of history feels like a genuinely big deal, and I’ve been pulling together my best pieces to bring.
