We’re back at it next month with another instalment of A Love From Outer Kingsland.

Sunday 27 September we’re bringing your staple Sunday wind down to @saintleonardsbrewing, this time with talents of @heyladynz @finn.jackson and our resident, @cyril.orson.

After quietly working in the background to run this event since its inception, we decided it’s time for Heylady to hit the decks. More recognised for her high energy sets, she is also an avid collector of down tempo and low key house. Expect some rate cuts, deep grooves, uplifting vocals and a surprises or two thrown in for good measure.

Finn Jackson has become a driving force in Tāmaki Makaurau’s underground scene. The brains behind Dark Faces, he’s responsible for bringing through some hefty internationals and throwing some unforgettable parties. As a DJ, he is silky smooth. Capable of laying chunky sound as well as deep goodness, his sets are always a highlight.

Cyril Orson has spent most of his life dedicated to incredible sound with a career that spans decades and has taken him around the world. You’re just as likely to catch him laying prime-time techno as you are to see him slink into the deep and dusty sounds of summer. Cyril is a world class act, and the anchor for this event.

As well as all This World-class music, @dalurecycleboutique will be back with another vintage clothing pop up. These have been a huge hit, if you’re interested in doing a spot of shipping onsite please bring cash.

Staying true to their German Biergarten roots, the kitchen is serving up classics from the Chicken Schnitzel to the Brat Dog 🌭

Join us for a Sunday session that will allow you to cast off the hurriedness of city life and slink into a leisurely afternoon of sonic beatitude in one of Auckland’s best kept secrets. We’re here to wind you down, not up.

@dylanc_c needs no introduction. Having played an absolutely magic set for us in the garden late last year, we decided to bring him back for another round of his low-slung goodness on our indoor stage.

@missjenkyle grew up on a steady diet of killer music in Scotland. Exposed to the gritty, raw nightlife Glasgow had to offer, she developed a taste for quality sound across genres. You’re just as likely to hear acid lines as you are dope disco, organized and honed into a melting pot of goodness by a critically good ear. We can’t wait for this Wellington based gem to play for us.

@katherinemanisah is a Tāmaki Makaurau based DJ who is on the rise. Capable of playing everything from downtempo house to blistering techno, she holds a groove and knows how to have fun with it. One half of the Beatboard crew, Manisah is making waves and we’re looking forward to her opening set on the day.

@sneekyakadjsoph is a Hawke’s Bay selector who can play anything. From spinning soul and funk on vinyl on a sunny afternoon, to mixing tunes alongside a live sax player, from back to backs at festivals across the country to laying stonking tech, Sneeky has it covered. We’re are super stoked to have her up for the weekend, she is definitely one to check if you haven’t already.

Next month we’re back at our home away from home @saintleonardsbrewing with the next edition of A Love From Outer Kingsland.

This time with have Aotearoa’s godfather of house @gregcsaid and the wonderfully talented @tinamairi alongside our resident maestro, @cyril.orson.

Greg Churchill is a household name. Known for smashing up clubs and festivals with his stomping sound, producing cracking tunes and putting NZs underground house and techno scene on the world map, Greg is a world class musician. This time round he will be showcasing lower-slung sounds he doesn’t normally get a chance to play, and we are here for it.

Tina Mairi started her DJ career with a 100 day challenge. Since then she has played events across NZ, and alongside some pretty big international names. Tina is a staple at many of Auckland’s club nights, and quite a few of Aotearoa’s favourite festivals. We are stoked to have her opening the day, and we suggest you get down there early so you don’t miss her.
