Let me introduce you to Isabello de Barrameda, my new Vampire OC! This weirdo is a hyper religious vampire. He loves his crosses, his gilded sacred regalia, his devotional rituals. An ecclesiastial enthusiast, he ritualizes everything, from extracting blood from his "chosen sheep", to laying down to sleep in his sepulchre; much to the chagrin of other vampires he's met.

As a human, he was a bishop buying contraband religious artifacts from a conman called Mick Mockley. Mick sold Isabello a vial of blood, which he claimed to be St. Peter's. Isabello drank it, hoping it would bless him in time to become pope (as you can see, he was already a freak lol). Unfortunately, it was vampire's blood. He turned into a monster in less than a fortnight.

In my world, vampires don't get affected by crosses, like the Anne Rice vampires. Despite other vampires not being affected by religious symbols, Isabello thinks his lack of reaction to crosses is a "gift from god". Because of this, he has a HUGE collection of crosses and sleeps with a different one each day, like it's a plushie. He always displays them upside down because he doesn't believe he is "worthy" to behold the upright cross. In other vampires's opinion, it only makes him look more like a creep.

So guys, this character has been so fun to make! I'm wondering if I could make a short comic about him lol What do you think? Let me know! You can see more sketches I made about him in my highlights! I'm looking forward to our next character poll!
