Make House Deep Again…

3 weeks ago I held my first @makehousedeep party at @the_bbe_store, and for a wet Thursday we turned it out! It was very special to have the boys at @baked.sessions coming through to film the night - and they didn’t mess about. 4 camera angles, lighting, and hand held shots….

So I’m finally pleased to share with you 10 moments from the mix which is now available to stream via the Baked Sessions YouTube.

Huge love to @kirollus__ for the special guest set, and to @soundsofharris for smashing it and keeping me in check as we played together.

Sunday night at @southportweekender I had the pleasure of laying down 90 minutes of music towards the closing of festival.

It was an amazing end to the weekend, and for my first time at Southport I’m feeling very grateful to have been given the opportunity to play.

I want to express my gratitude to all the people that stopped me over this weekend to share positive feelings and encouragement… it’s so clear to see the community is spreading through the love of the music.

Shout out to my good mate @funkymusak for taking most of these videos, also to @toolategroove for putting me on to that John Redman track, and a cheeky bit of unreleased music too. Thank you for all the kind messages I’ve received over the last few days, it really keeps me motivated!

A few mentions to other DJs… @sysez, @coflothesoulshifter, @ellaknight__, @oveous, @lukeunabomber as some stand out sets I saw over the weekend too.

I remember hearing this record on a YouTube mix maybe around 4 years ago, and trying to hunt down the remix for ages. When I finally stumbled across the right version I wasn’t surprised to find it was a remix from the GOAT… @grantnelsonmusic!

It’s just over 3 weeks until the next @makehousedeep party at @the_bbe_store in London.

This time I’ll be joined behind the decks by @hugslife_ and a very special guest will be announced on the day of the event in my WhatsApp group only.

This project is slowly coming together…

I’m excited to announce my party @makehousedeep is coming back to London at @the_bbe_store on 25.06 and this time I’ll be playing alongside @hugslife_ all night.

We’ve been working on some things that will be shared on the night, and who knows maybe this could turn into more than just a party?

A @kerrichandler track you might not know…

Labels in house music remain one of my favourite ways of digging. Once you find something that’s good you know you can trust the rest of the catalogue.

Sfere was a collaboration between Kerri & @dennisferrerofficial, and provided an outlet for their deeper / soulful projects rooted in gospel. Although the catalogue isn’t huge it’s quite possibly up there with my favourite labels.

This track ‘Brooklyn’ from Kerri features 8 minutes of E-Man riffing out about all the best things happening in Brooklyn… and the worst. It’s worth a listen just for the vocals! by @saintlukez

After gaining a great deal of traction and earning his rightful title as a tastemaker, he’s now appearing as a DJ across London’s wealth of clubs, sharing his collection and devoted passion for underground dance music.
