Artist Walkthrough: Sajal Sarkar on his current exhibition Brith of Another God “I‘m talking about mainly man-made disasters, and how people lost their intimate things all of a sudden… several things we are directly or indirectly responsible.” — Sajal Sarkar Now on view through Sep 5th, at Aicon Contemporary, 35 Great Jones St, New York 10012. by @sajalhuman
Sajal Sarkar’s solo show, Birth of Another God, is now on view! Sarkar's show at Aicon Contemporary, Birth of Another God, includes a series of large canvas works that merge abstraction and figuration, which reflect on his experience navigating the American art landscape after immigrating to the US in 2016. In his synthesis of abstraction and realism, Sarkar opens the conversation about his own life, the broader experience of adapting to American culture, and the processes of constructing visual narratives. Come check it out at: Aicon Contemporary 35 Great Jones Street New York, NY, 10012 July 30 – September 5, 2026 Photos: @isoldes_pictures by @sajalhuman
