Weathertech IMSA — Battle of the Bricks 🧱 🏎️

Back at IMS again for some more racing!! This time we dabbled into the world of Endurance racing with hypercars, LMP2, and GTD cars all racing at the same time.

IMS slayed this time with the amenities and experiences that were available. We got a basic General Admission ticket and we were up close and personal with the garages and the car haulers out back. They had the cars lined up on the sides and you walk up and touch them, it was fantastic.

Made it my mission to get a picture with @pr1motorsports #52 today since I’m rocking the whole “obsessed Logan Sargeant fan” lol

They were actually pretty cool and replied to some of my comments and stuff on Insta, so thank you guys for making my week that much more enjoyable!!

The WINNERS of the LMP2 class and I was surprised to learn that @christian_rasmussen_ was the one bringing the car home to victory.

(Logan also drove for them a bit in 2025. You see the pattern yet? 🤭)

It was also sick to see the 2026 @indynxt champion @nikitajohnsonracing racing this beauty today. So close to a class win, but he ran out of energy ☹️

Really cool experience but it was HOT. The speakers on our side also shut off so the last few innings were really hard to keep up with. But I got a ball signed by two players and got to meet one as well!

Not quite as cool as Banana Ball, but still fantastic. It was lottery based, so you couldn’t just by tickets, you had to win them in the lottery. I just wish we were able to pick the day and seats :/

Brickyard 400 — 2026

Stick with me, I’m testing the multiple captions thingy.
Quick Summary: I won’t be returning to a NASCAR event.

Also, if it weren’t for the videos, I’d totally be posting this to Real Gone by Sheryl Crow.

Cheered on @carsonhocevar, hoping that I’d get to see the Hurricane in action. He ended up getting pole on Saturday which was awesome, but unfortunately had a rough pit stop that lost him the lead of the race.

@kyle_kirkwood CAR WAS THERE, AND CHAT, I ALMOST SHIT A BRICK.

It was super freaking cool to get to see his car up close after watching it go around track here in May.

Also, if he wins Portland (bc he will trust) here’s why. Gave him a bit of my magic touch ✨

There were so many cautions for the most stupid reasons. The stages, Larson just sending it into the wall like an idiot, and one mediocre NASCAR style crash with nine cars and Ryan Blaney

Overall weekend and sport rating: 4/10. I loved the sound and the vibration of the cars hauling ass right in front of my face, it was amazing. Unfortunately, every other aspect of the sport sucked.

Driver autographs required wristbands which could only be obtained by buying merch over a certain amount. So I didn’t get to meet anyone… darn ig.

It was hot all weekend, scorching sun, and frankly it was boring. Sunday we literally spent all day sitting in the bleachers listening to ads and waiting for the race to start.

Idk why IMS had everything blocked off that was open for IndyCar, but we had to walk over a mile just to get into the circuit. It was ridiculous. Plus, aside from a few cool people there were so many rude workers and fans.

Also didn’t help that Oscar Piastri literally DNFed in the Hung taken in Indianapolis Motor Speedway by @sajoridy

One Weekend. One stadium. Two completely different sports.

Banana Ball was insane! If you have the chance to go, take it. There was literally never a dull moment with the Man-nanas performing, twerking contests, baby races, and a 13-foot man on stilts trying to play baseball. We got to meet some of the people making this fan-nomenon happen and every single person was sweet and considerate, not a bad player on either side.

Then we went to a Cincy Reds game and honestly, it was exactly as I expected. Nine innings of absolutely nothing. The DJ was ragebaiting us with 3 second clips of music and the players in outfield looked as bored as us, picking at their nails. It was terrible.

You can tell just by the pictures why Banana Ball will sell out a stadium in thirty minutes every time, whereas the Red can’t even fill half of their own seats.

Anyways, I got my sights on Party Animals v. Clowns in September 😝

Sonsio Grand Prix — Part 2

Some videos meeting the drivers and of some of the racing. What an amazing experience and what a race omg. Sonsio has a history of pretty much nothing happening and there were two full-course-yellows in like the first half of the race. Lockups, botched pit stops, crashes that launched drivers over each other, and even a car stopped on the main straight 💀 Unbelievable experience.

I cannot wait for next year and I cannot begin to explain how much I love motorsports. Should’ve guessed considering I was all over Monster Jam when I was like eight years old. taken in Racing Capital of the World by @sajoridy

2026 Sonsio Grand Prix at IMS — Part 1

Holy— I love motorsports so much. Amazing opportunity to watch a crazy race and meet some of the coolest people on Earth.

Tally of all of the drivers we managed to meet this weekend:

• Kyle Kirkwood
• Will Power
• Louis Foster
• Josef Newgarden
• Sting Ray Robb
• Pato O’Ward
• Nolan Siegel
• Alexander Rossi
• Plus all of the USF 2000, USF PRO 2000, and USF Junior drivers

It was an amazing experience and I’m so glad I was able to attend. I didnt get a few drivers I wanted but hey, there’s always next year. I didnt manage to get Colton Herta like I hoped last year since he’s in F2 now :(.

I can’t express how much I love racing, no matter the form (Fuck NASCAR tho). It’s unbelievable how lucky i am to get to get to experience this kind of stuff.

On to the Indy500 and Canadian GP next. Hoping for a Kirkwood win and an Oscar Piastri win in Montreal.
